We spent 3 nights here after a rather cramped stay in Andalusia during Semana Santa. A great relief to have an extremely spacious and spotless room . Beds were very comfortable and room was quiet. A view would have been nice, but location was perfect for us to get around and always good to be near El Corte Ingles. Can't...

Very nice breakfast Although in the city centre, not too noisy at night A perfect location for discovering the city center and surroundings: at walking distance of the Ramblas, close to a shopping area and many good restaurants, not too far from the beach area

We were a group of 11 (3 families) and we had 4 rooms during Easter Week at the Hotel Regina. The rooms were way more spacious than I would have expected and my husband and I even had a king sized bed! The quad and triple were also spacious. The location off of Place Catalunya and The Ramblas was convenient...

We thought since it cost more than in Madrid, it would have the little things a nice hotel usually has. A wash cloth, hand lotion, a good concierge. When we tried to ask for a taxi for our group 4 people, we were told the would have to work on it since the taxi boss only wanted airport trips. We...

We took a short family break to Barcelona and stayed in the Regina. Great location, close to key locations but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. A very good quality hotel, family room was excellent value for money when you consider services, quality of decor and friendliness of staff versus the price. I will be going back.

Very friendly staff, nice boutique style hotel that is centrally located. We had a very nice updated room on the first floor, with a veranda on the backside that was nice for drinking wine on. The only problem we experienced was early morning rumbles from the underground trains. It was easy enough to sleep through but did come as a...

The walls are very thin, and we were kept awake by hearing other rooms mobile phones ringing, a baby crying, loud noises from the next room, and even a guest trying repeatedly to get into their room and trying to bang on their door, in the early hours of the morning. We were told thehotel was full, so we didn't...

We spent a wonderfully relaxing week in this hotel. So comfortable and friendly attentive staff and the hotel and room was always clean and tidy. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Only negative was having the hand basin in the bedroom itself and not in the bathroom. The hotel is centrally placed for easy access to the...

The Hotel Regina in Barcelona is an ideal base for exploring the city. Aside from the location on the Placa Catalunya, which is central for metro, bus, and wandering by foot, the hotel is a warm and friendly place to return to in the evening. The attractive lounge area is inviting and comfortable and on a recent rainy evening was...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
