The good news is this hotel is very well located and well priced. The bad news is the day concierge was surly and unpleasant. He was not interested in helping make dinner reservations, arranging for laundry to be picked up, or booking transport to the airport. I will mention that I speak fluent Spanish, lived in Barcelona for a year,...

cant say enough good things about this hotel. the décor and building was a total surprise. cannot understand why it is only 3 stars. the room and location was superb right in the middle of all the sights and shops. there is not enough praise I can give this hotel. service from staff was excellent.

We were traveling with a baby. Reception first assigned us room 216. Though a deluxe room, this was way too small for a baby bed. When I went to reception, they reluctantly gave us a new room. We had to wait in the hall with a sleepy, hungry baby for 30 min (it would take 5-10 min to clean the...

Great location for sightseeing and shopping. 24 hr coffee and tea availability in breakfast room. Peaceful terrace to sip that coffee and plan the afternoon activities. We were in room 218, spacious accessible room with shower and lower light switches, but the towel rack was too high. Overlooked the terrace.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and found it amazing overall. Almost all the main spots of interest can be accessed from this hotel on foot. It has a number of metro stations at a stone's throw too. Lots of eateries, shops nearby. The hotel itself has beautiful interiors. We had chosen the superior room and it had...

Great hotel - really classy and in a fab location Loved our room on the first floor and directly on the main hallway near the hotel library. No view, but a sweet little outside area which was well presented. Bathroom was lovely and again I would describe the room as classy Hotel was efficient and helpful - we didn't breakfast...

This hotel is situated at a nice location not too far away from those casa but yet not too near to the passig de gracia streets. The metro and bus is just a stone throw away. However, the service staff was not too friendly. It's as if it's a business hotel.

Plus points: 1) Great location. Just 1 or 2 streets away from the Airbus bus-stop. It is near metro. Within walking distance to some of the attractions, shopping and restaurants. There is a 24h supermart opposite the hotel. 2) Family room is big and spacious. 3) Quick check-in (well, we arrived nearing midnight and so we were the one one)....

We are from USA and just spent a lovely week in this beautiful hotel. It is easy to take airport bus to Placa Catalunya and then it is only a short walk. Located in a beautiful area with wide boulevards and easy access to two metro stops and bus stop. Hotel staff was very accommodating. The free available tea in...

We loved the GranVia. It was convenient to most sites and easy to get transportation nearby. The hotel is small but lovely. It is a beautifully renovated former home of a prominent family. The updates are very well done. Modern, but the character of the former space is brilliantly maintained.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
