We looked and looked at hotels in Barca before deciding on the Granvia. Our research paid off. this was a good place to stay and a bargain for the price we paid. We stayed here 4 nights in mid November 2016. our room was on the 2nd floor american counting. it was in front over the front door. we thought... More

We travelled across Europe and at the very end of it we spent 4 days at this hotel. It was comfortable and offered a great location. Breakfast and staff were great and I'd recommend a stay here when ever you come to Barcelona .

I have to start this review stating that I was in Barcelona from November 24 until November 27. The location of the hotel is superb, we arrived at the hotel via Metro with no problems whatsoever. If you like shopping and sightseeing this is the perfect place to stay, they had early check-in which was very convenient for me as... More

Hotel Granvia is a lovely hotel with a very unassuming exterior and entry and a beautiful interior. It is in a perfect location, just a 5 minute, 3 block walk to the central Placa Catalunya, which is the hub of everything, including the Metro stop. There is a subway stop across from the hotel, which we were discouraged from using... More

I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is spacious, quiet, perfectly neat, and above all the staff is always kind and keen to help. The receptionists always welcomed me with a big smile, which is really appreciated. Extremely good service in general.

We had four nights at this lovely hotel and were very pleased. A small entrance from the busy road (this means there are plenty of taxis) opens onto a beautiful lobby in the classic style. The simple white decor has huge Vogue fashion style photos on the walls. The effect is cool and modern. There is a lift to all four... More

We stayed 2 nights recently at this great little hotel before our cruise. The location was perfect in the city center and we were able to walk almost everywhere. Our room was very nice and the bathroom was larger than we had expected. We didn't eat breakfast there but we did enjoy drinks on the outside lovely terrace. Would certainly... More

Booked two nights there for a birthday break having read tripadvisor reviews and definitely wasn't disappointed. We loved the room; spacious, enough cupboard space, nice chrome and white tile bathroom with a lovely rainfall shower, hair dryer with a decent motor, nice and quiet even though we faced the road, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Great location: 10 mins walk from... More

I just spent 5 nights at Hotel Granvia. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking all over the city. There were 6 of us and we had two family rooms that were perfect. The beds were huge, tons of closet space ( all girls so we needed lots of room for hanging up clothes and shoes!). There is... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
