Stayed for one night, only positive is the location, rooms were filthy, bed terrible, dirty blankets, toilets were verging on unusable, the whole hostel had a terrible smell, would advise tourist to avoid at all cost, truly terrible night even if it was cheap at €45.wouldnt even give it 1 star but that's not an option.a truly shocking hostel!!!

Stayed in the hostal R capitol for 1 night with a friend. This is by far the worst place either of us have ever stayed or even stepped foot into. The lift is old and barely works. The smell for the corridors and room was indescribable. The room was small with filthy blankets on the bed. The room had a...

ok, i thought £39 a night for a hotel just off las ramblas was a bit too good to be true! but you get what you pay for. postives: its located right on las ramblas so the location could not be better. its very very basic, bed was awfully uncomfortable and hard, air conditioning only stayed on when there was...

First time in Barcelona, stayed for 3 nights. Location is fab, right on La Ramblas with easy access to the Metro, Aerobus and the shops. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are small but sparkling clean. Would suggest taking the rooms with balcony as the other rooms can feel a bit claustrophobic. You can get nice views of the...

I stayed here for 4 nights whilst in Barcelona and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in the best location, right on Las Ramblas only a 30second walk to Placa Catalunya. Although the room was small, which i knew when booking, the cleanliness was fabulous! The best thing about this hotel tho was the exceptional service from the staff....

Barcelona is such a nice city. Even staying in this terrible hotel couldn't make us unhappy. This hotel is really terrible with small rooms and bathroom. It's also dirty. The rooms are also dark and the view from the hotel is not nice. I strongly do not recomment staying here. The only nice thingsabout here are its location and staff.

Over the years, I've stayed here a few times.. On all 3 occasions I had the same room, so it felt like coming home each time. Great location and really friendly staff.. People say the ramblas gets busy and super busy, but the room I had was at the back, so although no view at all, it was nice and...

We stayed her for 4 nights and our stay was better that I thought it would be. It is a budget hotel/hostal and has a fantastic location just outside Plaza Cataluna metro station the top end of La Ramblas. We arrived well after midnight and the guy at reception was expecting us and was very welcoming. We were located on...

It's your choice if you are looking for a cheap hotel in a perfect location.Location is the best thing about this hotel! it's in the most lively street in Barcelona "Las Ramblas" and 2 minutes walking distance to Catalonia square. The problem with single rooms is they have shared bathrooms, but the double rooms have private ones. Staff is very...

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
