We stayed for 5 nights over Christmas and New Year. Brilliant location, lovely, clean & pleasant place to stay. Amazingly cheap prices - Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. The hostel is owned and run by British people so asking about where to go and what to do was no problem. The place is located within 5 mins...

My friend and i stayed here for three nights during January, we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival that the staff were english and that we didn't have to mime our way through checking in! We had a twin room and the beds were so comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was spotless, we couldn't believe our luck, we paid 80 euro between...

We stayed here for 5 nights in December after finding a great value deal on Expedia. A fantastic choice for us as the location was perfect to get to everything we wanted to see. The hotel is within walking distance to La Rambla, Arc de Triomf, Park de Ciutadella, Barcelona Catedral, Santa Maria Del Mar. We also walked to the...

We booked here a double room with balcony for 4 nights and paid 172 euros, which was a great value for our money. The hostal is easily accessible from the airport by train, and located at the best part of the city, just 2 streets away from the Passeig de Grácia and the wonderful La Pedrera. We also could easily...

This is a fantastic little place in the center of Barcelona, very close to Passeig de Gracia (and Gaudi's Casa Mila). Sagrada Familia, the old town of Barcelona, and La Rambla are within walking distance, if you don't mind strolling through the city (which - given the wide streets and array of shops - really isn't a bad experience). The...

Friendly small hotel within walking distance to most of the major sights of Barcelona. Lots of restaurants around the hotel. Small supermarket in the same building. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice terrace. Coffe, tea and some snacks available 24/7. Okay breakfast. The only drawback I could find is that the room is not very soundproof. I would happily stay at Khronos...

Stayed in the hostal for 3 nights. The hostal itself is in a prime location to explore the sounds and sites of the city. The owners were very accommodating, even prior to the trip, responding to emails accurately and promptly. The hostal is decorated tastefully and stylishly and the roof top terrace is great for chilling. I have visited Barcelona...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
