The hostal has no lobby downstairs with an open door as a typical hotel that I usually stay in. The gate was locked, had to buzz in and went up the stairs. The guy was very nice though, he came down and helped me with my luggage. There was an elevator but he was being super nice. Location is good....

Hostal Boutique Khronos is a small hotel that takes up what was probably one apartment in a beautiful, old building in uptown Barcelona. The building may be very old and Baroque in style, but the hotel is incredibly modern and sleek. Rooms and bathrooms are small, as is typical of European city hotels, but the balconies are GORGEOUS! There is...

Well located, this hôtel is Well decorated too and clean rooms are quite spacious with large bathroom. sympathic terrasse and personal at your disposal négative points are the noise of the street quite normal considering its situation and noise from the others rooms when for example the neighboor takes its shower but globally good hotel

This is a basic hotel but is nicely presented and I liked my room. It was very spacious and modern and I had two balconies which was lovely. The only odd thing is the entrance because you're in a residential building so you have to be let in by the building superintendent and then locate the hotel which is up...

Classic decor and wonderful architectural features, along with comfortable, clean, modern bedroom and bathroom furnishings made this a lovely hotel for a relaxing holiday break in Barcelona. Good location for city centre and within a few minutes walk of several metro stations. We enjoyed sitting out on our balcony and the hotel terrace. Tea and coffee making facilities were in...

This is a lovely place to stay. Would definitely stay again. Spotlessly clean. Rare and spacious terrace for guests which is off street level - ie private. Well organised and seemless friendly service and help: our hosts Adam and Ingrid both gave good local tips and helped us in practical ways also.

This little updated boutique hotel had a great staff - English-speaking and very helpful! Breakfast buffet had pastries, yogurt, cereals, some fruit, cheese and sausage every morning - plus juice, milk and espresso/cafe americano - lovely terrace for relaxing or eating - felt very safe due to 3 key entry system - bed was very comfortable - room was very...

Fantastic location, easy to get to all the main sights. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The hostel itself was very tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The outside terrace was a lovely feature. Breakfast was good value, and the complimentary tea/coffee/water was great. The staff were great, friendly and welcoming, they made my Husband's 50th Birthday a memorable one....

We were met by friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very clean and comfortable and there is a wonderful outside terrace to relax on and have some evening drinks or morning coffee. Perfect location, within easy reach of shops and the Gaudi architectural gems. Lovely first time experience in Barcelona!

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
