I was traveling with a friend and stayed here for two nights. The room and bed was surprisingly small for two (better for couples) but we didn't need that much room anyways. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room didn't have air conditioning so it was quite hot at night but there was a small balcony so we...

Situated in the stunning Gothic quarter of Barcelona, Pensio Alamar was a fab place to stay. Lifts right up to the entrance to the apartments. It's run by a family, who were lovely, very helpful, room was perfect as I was on my own. Small but just perfect with balcony, access to share toilets, and bathrooms, but as there was...

This is such a nice and heartwarming place! The couple that takes care of the place is a real authentic beautiful older Spanish couple. They are nearly invisible but make sure your stay is lovely, clean and comfortable! And yes the rooms might be a bit small - that does not at all effect your stay considering you stay in...

If you know what a pension is before you arrive you are fine. I was unaware and was shocked to find a tiny room with sheared bathrooms. This being said, after the initial shock and overviewing what you get for the price this is a lovely little place. It is well kept, very clean and the family who run it...

I stayed to nights in Alamar with my friend. Room was quite small but we didn't need a bigger one. There was no air conditioner so during the nights was quite hot. We didn't use the kitchen. Bathrooms were good and clean. Location was excellent. I would go again.

This small pension totally lived up to our expertations. It is situated in a great location very central in the Gothic quarter, close to Las Ramblas, Placa Reial, many original shops and places to eat. It didént take long to reach the beach or habourside. The staff at the pension is very nice and friendly. It is keeped very clean...

the room I stayed in was clean and kept tidy. If I needed anything there was always someone to ask, and they were also friendly. So were the majority of guests staying there. The only downside is that between 2 and 4pm, you can't use the kitchen

The location is great only 2 min walk to La Rambla and 15 min walk to Barceloneta beach. Rooms are very small but it's got all you need. The older lady was cleaning the pension everyday & they were very nice. Overall we had lovely time in Alamar
