We booked Boutique B and B as we wanted to stay in a different area in Barcelona and it seemed good value. The building it is in is lovely although it can be a bit tricky to find if you don't know where you are going. It is fairly close to Passeig de Gracia station and very close to Casa...

Great little place to stay for recent city break. Friendly staff and a good breakfast to set us up for the day too. Location was pretty easy to find and accessible to Passeig de Gracia train station which could then connect you to anywhere you wanted to go. On foot, you could be at the waterfront within 30 minutes if...

Good location but rooms too small to leave out suitcase. The only place big enough to open the suitcase was on the bed. Also, difficult to open the window without stubbing toes on the bed or banging head on the TV. Receptionist was very helpful with directions. Good breakfast but it only started at 8:30 am and there were only...

We stayed in boutique B&B in January. Great location, just 5 minutes walking from casa Batllo. Receptionists really friendly and helpful. They gave us some tips about the best restaurant in town. Cosy room, but really clean. Breakfast was really good, small pastries, coffees, juices, selection of sandwiches and bread. But they should top up more the breakfast items. Last day...

Location was really good, close to the centre and the train to airport. Room was tiny and very stuffy. It had a bad odour - looked like there was water damage and it was resulting from that. The wall paper was peeling a bit and the room needed a refresh. Aircon didn't work well so left balcony door open at...

This is a really central place, just a few minutes walk from Passeig de Gracia station, which is on the Airport rail line. It's a block away from Casa Battlo and a short walk to La Pedrera. The B&B is on the "entresuelo", just above ground floor, of a corner building. There is a loft, but it's only a short...

The location was good but hotel and room too small. Can be OK for young people or clients spending only one night in Barcelona. After two weeks' of travelling in Europe and with one big suitcase and one handbag in the room, I felt suffocated. But staff was very nice. Breakfast, even though small, was excellent.

AVOID! I could write here the exact complaint I wrote to Booking.com who I booked this horrific experience through. To give you an idea of my dissatisfaction, I turned up and left within 30 minutes of being shown all three of the DIRTY, MOULDY, AIRLESS and peeling wallpaper, filthy blacked showered, rooms. First impressions were not great, lugging a huge...

In the bustling metropolis of Barcelona, almost hidden from view, is this quaint and cozy gem. Old school from start to finish. The elevator is a caged affair and only 2 people or 1 with a suitcase! The service is great, the rooms small but nicely done up and the bathroom adequate, If a little cramped. The breakfast was rudimentary...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
