Excellent service from all areas, but particularly at the front desk. Great location near La Rambla within easy walk of great dining, deep in the old part of the city that is largely pedestrianized. Nice sun deck with a small pool ( though not recommended in February) and a view of the city.
We stayed at the Kimpton Vividora for 5 nights in August and fell in love with everything about this property. The location is perfect - a 2-minute walk to Las Ramblas or the Catedral, making it easy to walk to many of the places you want to go. The staff here are fantastic -welcoming, friendly, professional and helpful. A special shout-out to Aitara who was always available with a smile, professionalism and joy. The Kimpton is fortunate to have such a gem - they need to clone her and have an Aitara at every property! The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Our group had 3 rooms - they were not cookie cutter identical. Each was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We especially loved that the window coverings were truly black-out which always helps with that extra sleep in the morning. We found the bed to be perfect in comfort - in fact we slept fantastically. We need that bed in our home! I had been concerned about street noise given the great central location - that was never a problem. The rooftop bar is a great place for an evening cocktail - the views are wonderful. We found our new home in Barcelona and hope to be back very soon! Muchas gracias a la familia Kimpton Vividora. Esperamos verlos a todos de nuevo pronto.…
to summarize the experience one word is enough: splendid! attentative and friendly staff, modern and comfortable infrastructure, perfect location.. this hotel is undoubtedly the best choice from where to explore the city!
The Kimpton Vividora was perfect. It earns 5 stars easily. My daughter and I loved every minute and it was in large part due to the staff. We stayed 5 nights (actually changed our flight and extended our stay an extra night). The team were all were genuine, helpful and friendly. A huge thank you to Eric, Eduardo, Marta, Carmen, Dani and Victoria and the rest of the team! It is a miracle that I remembered so many names but they were exceptional. Thank you for your help in all ways - booking reservations, shows, taxis, recommendations, etc. I’ve travelled a lot over 30 years and this hotel stands out. It feels small and comfortable yet vibrant. The beds are supremely comfortable and our room was quieter than any I’ve been in. No fan or outside noises, just complete silence (5th flirt room). You can’t get a better location to explore from by walking. The breakfast was wonderful. So many great things to say but the bottom line is I want to go back to Barcelona and stay there again. Side note, January is a great time to go. It’s still busier than I expected but definitely the best time to avoid excessive crowding. …
The location was perfect for walking most of the days staying there. It is conveniently located, but tucked away in a smaller street so it was not too noisy. Breakfast was wonderful. It was simple but enough to get the day started. Staff was overall very helpful and accommodating. Of the 3 hotels I have stayed in the past in Barcelona, this was the most convenient for a tourist. I loved that you can connect your smartphone/computer to the TV to end the day with netflix.
Excellent location. Beautiful hotel, room modern and comfortable. Breakfast lots of choice and hot breakfast cooked to order. Staff so helpful and friendly. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Such a great time, looking to book again and would definitely recommend.
Kimpton Vividora Hotel is located in the center of Barcelona - perfect for walking just about anywhere :) It's just a short walk to the beaches and to the historic center. The hotel is clean and attractive and the meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Every evening at 7, all the guest were invited to a wine aperatif where we met the staff and other guests. Most importanly, EVERY member of the staff was friendly and professional. By the end of our stay, it was sad for us to leave them !
Wow, what can I say about the Kimpton Vividora that has not already been said. Firstly I’ve been in the travel business for the last 30 years and I have to say this was one of the best city hotels I have stayed in. We choose this hotel as we wanted to be within walking distance of the major sites in Barcelona, and as it was our honeymoon we wanted to stay in the best hotel that gave us both the location and outstanding service and luxury. We were not disappointed the location was perfect, the hotel was stunning, and a must is the hotel’s rooftop bar. Right from the start of our booking process to the day we sadly departed, they have been outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they always greeted us with a smile every time we ventured back to the hotel after visiting the beautiful sites of Barcelona. I would like to say a special thank you to David Rubio for truly making our honeymoon so memorable and to every member of their staff who has been exceptional. If you are thinking of going to Barcelona and want a beautiful hotel with a great location, then the Kimpton Vividora is definitely the place to be. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer, but this just makes us more determined to go back soon. Thank you once again to Kimpton Vividora for your wonderful hospitality.…
Excellent top class hotel. We really enjoyed our three night stay in this hotel. It is in a brilliant location, right in the middle of the city. The staff were all so friendly, cheery and helpful. Loved the roof top bar. Even in November, it was mild enough to sit outside with the help of the patio heaters. we enjoyed platters of wine and cheese and tomato bread up there on our first night as we had eaten on the journey and didn't want a full meal. The room was on the small side, as is to be expected with a city hotel in an old building but it didn't feel cramped and was well equipped and well designed to make the most of the space. The bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. Breakfast was delicious, with a cold buffet and eggs made to order. They had a happy hour with complimentary wine which was a nice start to our evenings! We had an outstanding meal at Berbena, which we highly recommend as well, but which needed a short taxi ride from the hotel. Well worth it though for the imaginative and tasty food. In summary, we would highly recommend this hotel and if we were going back to Barcelona would definitely stay here gain. …
Booked a family suite for five nights. Two rooms shared the same private hallway. Our teen kids had two separate twin beds in their suite and we had a king bed suite with two balconies. We truly loved our accommodations. Staff are helpful and accommodating, hotel is beautifully decorated (vintage boutique), it is clean and in a great location. Rooftop had great photo opps with the city in the background. Location is conveniently located close to La Ramblas and Gothic Quarter. Across the hotel there is a convenient store, pharmacy and market - super convenient. A guest's child must have pulled the fire alarm which resulted in the entire hotel having to vacate the building at 11:30 pm, however, the process was organized. The stairwells are completely finished and steps are wide to accommodate safe movement for guests in stairwells, far better than any North American hotel stairwell that I have ever seen. The rooms have all amenities you need and a convenient lighting control system and usb plugs for charging devices by the bedsides. Our first night they gave us complimentary treats and red wine. We normally stay at Marriott hotels, and will definitely look to book IHG at international destinations outside of North America because of our positive experience.…
