On a recent visit to Barcelona we used Booking.com and found Eddy`s rooms, and what a find it was. This place is charming, clean (very) inexpensive, (in november) full of period features, (200yr old town house) flawless wifi, free use of tea coffee, toaster & microwave & kettle & corkscrew was an added bonus. Our bed was very comfortable, you...

First I couldn't locate the guest house as there were as no signs on the building, but it turned out to be in the 3rd floor of a well situated building in the heart of the city, the host is very kind, there was coffee & tea facility in the living room, room was good with free strong WiFi but...

We stayed in Eddy Rooms for 2 days during the last week of September. The location is in the center of Barcelona, around 12 minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya and 8 mins walk to the metro. I Love that it has a place where you can eat breakfast and a free access to coffee and tea's all day. The room...

My friend and i stayed here just recently, ( July 29 till August 1 ). The place is strategically located in a quiet neighborhood in Girona. It is near to the bus stops and Girona metro station. We booked the twin room with private bath . Though we were a bit disappointed with the bathroom because it is very near...

We stayed in Eddy's Guest House between the dates 2nd of October and 7th of October as a family. When we went there, Norbert came and made detailed explanations about the city, what to do, sightseeings etc. He was very warm and friendly. Gunther, his elder brother, is always there and tries very hard to satisfy your needs and when...

Other reviews on this page are all accurate - both positive and negative points. However, accepting the issues around keyholes and the like, I would say that the whole place had an air of faded opulence; our room had an ornately coved ceiling about 15 feet/5m high with a beautiful chandelier. I too have stayed in modern, higher-end hotels but...

I stayed in Eddy's Guesthouse in May'11 and I really enjoyed it. The place location is very nice - close to the subway, between embankment and Sagrada de Familia. On the nearby corner is a very nice restaurant where you can enjoy lunch. The owner is the highlight - very nice gentleman who gave me advice about getting around the...

This place is no Waldorf Astoria, but it is not a student hostel either. Notice a different spelling: hostal vs hostel. In Spain, the word 'hostal' is used to describe a small, family-run hotel, typically in a residential building, often with shared facilities. That's what Eddy Rooms is, a hostal. I've stayed in hostals in Spain before, so I knew...

This place was not initially easy to find, especially for 2 new people to the city! It took us a little while, not to find the location, but the actual door to buzz!!! The elevator was old-school, but I love that charm about old buildings. However, it was still a pain to get our bags upstairs!!!! The gentleman who welcomed...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
