A very clean and comfortable hotel and all members of staff were friendly and very helpful. Able to leave suitcases there on departure day till we had to leave for the airport in the evening. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Excellent breakfast too.

There were three of us, one being 80 so needed somewhere which was close to sight seeing and this was the prefect location. We were also put on the same floor which was helpful. Rooms - Have staying in Barcelona several times and usually have heard lots of noise but this hotel provides a quiet nights sleep. Room size was...

Firstly, location. WOW. Absolutely amazing location, right next to Barcelona Cathedral. Walking distance to La Ramblas and anywhere in Gothic Quarter. Secondly, the staff. The hotel itself is lovely, contemporary, beautiful mood lighting, and it smells amazing! The...

It's been mentioned before but well worth raising again - Catalonia Catedral must be in one of the prime spots in Barcelona. Just by the cathedral, 2 mins from Placa Catalunya and everything in the Gothic quarters within comfortable walking distance. Add to that nice, clean rooms and very friendly service. Even if the cost of breakfast is a bit...

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

I would say depends when you arrive, we were there when the christmas markets were on and it was very busy the cab dropped us 5 mins away. A second time they dropped us a bit closer, this was in the evening. However our cab back to the airport picked up at the door. So as others have said yes they do drop off at the door, just may be some waiting involved.

This will be a weak answer. By far the best meal we had in Barcelona was at Sesamo, a vegan/vegetarian place in the Raval. It's a mile or so walk or short cab ride (suggest latter). Café de l'Academia, maybe 5 blocks away, was pretty good. There was also a good place in Cathedral square recommended by Carlos at desk (in fact he walked us to it). Didn't use laundry service. Weather at start of May was beautiful and I would guess late October would be symmetrical to then, at least in temperature, but I don't know.

I used to live in Barcelona years ago. November is a little tricky: sometimes you have really warm days when you could use the pool, but on the other hand it can get quite chilly. So I wouldn't bet on it.

In the immediate vicinity of the hotel not really. However a short taxi ride away check out Alkimia, Disfrutar, AbAc or Moments. For an experience try and snare a booking at Albert Adria's Tickets. For more drink related experiences Monvinic is worth a shot. Lasarte just gained a second star so also should be considered.
