It is a lovely place for either business or pleasure. The beds, pillows and room were most comfortable and had amusing 1980s (yes, I know the hotel opened in the 2000s) touches like a "wow" button you could press that made neon zigzag patterns on the walls light up. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Delicious, perfect coffee from both room service and the breakfast area. Amazing breakfast buffet and incredible martinis in the bar made by skilled and personable bartenders. I highly recommend this place. A crazy "White Lotus"-style pillow on the bed made be laugh more than a few times.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and it was AMAZING. A HUGE thank you to Ben, Sofia, Claudio, Marc and Victor (please forgive any typos in the spelling of the names), the girl at the pool entrance (we don't know the name but I am sure she remembers us LOL) and ALL the staff. Everyone has always been very polite and they helped us in any way they could. the gym and the spa are VERY good. we have been to the FIRE restaurant twice and it is REALLY good. Our suite was see view and Barcelona view, AMAZING ... for sure worth to go back!!!
We were really pleased we chose this hotel for 2 nights over a city centre location as it is right on the beach with a great promenade to walk along. It's around 2 miles from the city centre but we enjoyed the walk as it's a great way to explore. When we arrived at the hotel around 1pm we were greeted promptly at the front desk. We realised we would be too early to check in but were pleasantly surprised when they told us they had a room ready and more even pleasing that they had upgraded our room! What a treat, we are so gratful! Our room was about half way up and overlooking the beach, sea and city. We found the room very clean with all the amentities that you'd expect including robes and slippers. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast was devine with plenty of choices! The only slight downside is the indoor pool is tiny and you have to book an hour slot to use it along with the steam room and sauna but it's a minor thing. All staff that we came across, front desk, restaurant, spa and front door were really kind and helpful. I have no doubt that we will return to this hotel again.…
I had high expectations for this one, which unfortunately wasn't really met. Room wasn't very clean on check-in (dirty floor and leftover bottle caps) and when I asked reception to have it cleaned they just went "meh, ok if you insist". No apology or anything. I had booked three suites and they kept emailing me using my colleagues names at random. Other than that, rooms were basic but obviously the sea view is amazing. Restaurants are good. Excellent party vibe in the bars etc.
I've wanted to stay here for a while and finally had the chance after a trade show. I was concerned when I arrived and realized that I'd left my passport in the safe of another business hotel I'd come from in the city. Claudia Fernandez at the front desk kicked into gear, calling the hotel and arranging to have the passport collected from the safe and sent to the W. She was a lifesaver! I was also very impressed with a young woman named Luisa (guest services perhaps?) who made one couple's day with a special birthday cake for them. When I complimented her on that, she even gave me a little treat. Those little touches make a stay there such a great experience. I'll be back!!
Any closer to the ocean and you would be on a boat. The W Hotel Barcelona certainly impresses, both from the outside (architecturally) and from within (the great views, good food, crisp service). The compromise for being right on the beach is that it is a fair distance from ‘downtown’ (albeit great for getting those steps up). That said, there was always a ready queue of taxis at the hotel. I was at the hotel for a large conference and all the hotel logistics seemed to have been managed flawlessly.
Had lunch yesterday in the swimming pool area front sea! Amazing food especially the poke bowl along with the Sunday cheesecake and the spritz! The hotel itself is stunning and a proper 5 staff. I found the building shape impressive and very particular which add value to the Barcelona skyline. Will definitely be back for a perhaps night stay! Thank you to all the staff.
First timer in Barcelona and decided to stop by the W Barcelona for a drink based on a friends suggestion. The upstairs bar was closed but I sat in the lobby bar and was served by Javier Calero I have to say although I was disappointed in the bar on the 26th floor being closed I had a great time anyways; the music was good, the vibes was sexy, my wine was great, and my service was AMAZING! Javier made sure to take good care of me…I never had to wait long for a drink or service and he was very kind and professional! He even sent out a birthday treat for me once finding out I was in town celebrating my birthday… I have to say this made my entire trip!!! (A birthday isn’t a birthday without a candle to blow out..in this case a sparkler ,lol) Service was so on point next time I visit I will stay at the W Barcelona.…
If you have been to one you have been to them all (conference type hotels). The exterior from streetside was blah... the bar area was nice. We went to the cocktail bar at the top. Great views but appeared to be full of "late night professionals" (working women). Ok fair enough. Cocktails were good, snacks were good, better than hotel fare. One of those places you must visit but after visiting... you wonder why.
Visited from the UK for my birthday, although I was not staying at the hotel we ate at Fire restaurant. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable specifically Ilan, he went above and beyond to make sure my experience was great. Along side him Mona in the bar was lovely and I couldn't recommend Fire any more.
