We had a wonderful experience at Casa de Billy and would recommend it to others as a great place to stay in Barcelona. Our accommodations were spacious and immaculate with a comfortable bed, crisp clean sheets, nice feather pillows and lots of hot water in...More
What a wonderful, old romantic Spanish flat! Beautiful furnishing to include antiques, art, and decor, charmingly arranged that were simply lovely. The bed linens were clean, crisp and comfy and my room was squeaky clean and quite comfortable. The morning breakfast was perfect, fresh orange...More
The breakfast is the worst I ever had in a B&B, only a piece of bread!
The worst thing is that the staff themselves enjoyed a warm heartly breakfast in the kitchen. Usually they have a big sandwich or cooked eggs. Their food smelled wonderful...More

This was our first visit to Barcelona, but we shall certainly be returning. We caught the bus from the airport to Casa Billy, and were very relieved that the hotel is at most a 5- minute walk from the bus stop. Despite some reviews saying...More
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

Hi. In regard to your question regarding Casa de Billy I can advise you of the bathroom configurations on the first floor of the B&B as this is the floor we recently stayed on. There are four guest bedrooms on this floor. Two have the bathroom contained within the room. The third room has a bathroom across the corridor. The fourth bedroom, which we were also offered, has a slightly strange set up. There is a heavy curtain to the corridor. Behind this curtain is a small area with two doors leading off it - one is the bedroom and the other the bathroom. So theoretically it could be classed as en suite but be aware that when you leave the bedroom to go into the bathroom, you have a curtain between you and the rest of the guesthouse. It is also at the front of the building, over the Grand Via which Billy warned can be very noisy. We took the bedroom at the back (Room J from memory). However there were a couple of issues that may bother some guests so I suggest you check out my review. I would also say that you should be very specific when booking about which room you get and be persistent. Billy and Joachim are lovely people and we enjoyed our stay but they took a while to respond to queries and some I had to ask more than once before receiving an answer. I hope you enjoy Barcelona!
