Stayed there for 2 nights with a group of friends for CL football match. Very friendly staff at receiption,m hotel bar and breakfast room. Efficient check in. The room offer enough space for two plus luggage, but is a bit old snd need to be renewed. Bed was comfortable, even the mattresses were a bit too soft. The bathroom had...

Good location it's right in the middle of places you need to be in Barcelona. Our room at the 1st level didn't have A/C, it's not working. The bathroom is small and tiles need thorough cleaning. Breakfast was great for me because they served all I preferred as breakfast food.

The location of the hotel is prime. It's close to everything in this part of Barcelona. About 20 mins walk from the beach and close to tons of amazing places to eat. The room was quite nice, the bed was amazing. The reception was very helpful. The bar staff were a bit disinterested but the drinks were nice. The big...

When we arrived late (mid November), our room was cold and uninviting. We tried to up the heating, but it didn't work. When we spoke to the reception the next morning, we learned that the whole heating system is not working, because they are changing to a new system. They offered us an electric heater and extra blankets. The noisy...

Looking at the hotel, it is nothing short of stunning; it is modern and so lovely and we had really high hopes for it. The rooftop pool was really nice and the food and drink were fairly priced (considering we were staying just off La Rambla - the biggest tourist trap in Barcelona). However, we faced a problem pretty much...

We stayed here for one night during a whirlwind visit to Barcelona before boarding a cruise ship. The place is a little bit off the beaten path, on a side street off Las Ramblas. But despite that the hotel was close to the action and near some very nice restaurants. Our room was spacious and airy with a french balcony...

We had the most amazing stay at the silken ramblas. The location of the hotel is perfect, just seconds away from the rambla and la boqueria market. The room was great, very clean and spacious. And the hotel staff was kind and helpful in what ever we asked. The breakfast had a wide variety of food and everything was fresh...

Great location with a small nice outdoor pool. On the negative side you will hear everything which is said in the neighbour room, the gym is poor and they lack ironing possibilities outside the laundry which is useful if you pack your shirts as bad as I do. For a holiday visit it might be great, but would not recommend...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
