Double room with all comforts nicely appointed very quiet and located in a great part of town in Gracia. The bedding is very comfortable and the room very quiet which allowed a good night's sleep after an intense day in the buzz of town.

Situated in a great area of Barcelona on a very attractive square with a great choice of restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit.

Super clean. Super comfortable bed. Noiseless room. Fantastic shower. Beautiful terrace on top. Incredible location in the middle of Gracia neighborhood (few minutes walking distance from the Gaudi’s Pedrera). All automatic, you won’t see the staff. Very very reasonable price. Excellent value for money. Cannot recommend enough!

Really good place to stay in Gracia. Great location, really lovely room. Ideal location for getting around the city, a 10 walk to pass de Gracia. Gracia has so many great bars and restaurants. We will stay here again.

Locatie is very nice at Placa del Sol, with a nice clean room with enough space. Direct respons on questions by WhatsApp. Nice lounge and roof terrace. 10 to 15 minuten walk to the metro station Fontana.

I specifically chose Sonder La Casa del Sol in part because air conditioning was listed as an amenity. I arrived to a thermostat stuck on the heating setting. Although it is November, it was 25 degrees that day, and the room was clocking temperatures of 27 degrees. I spent 2 hours on the first night of my stay in contact with the Sonder team about why the AC was not working, and they told me that they would have it fixed the next day. The next day, the problem appeared to be solved, but on Thursday night, the thermostat was turned back to heat and the room was clocking 25 degrees. I was offered to switch hotels at 2am but the location of the offered hotel was 15 minutes away, and I did not feel comfortable walking that distance so late; also, the hotel was in a less convenient location. The other proffered solution was to open the window, but as other reviewers have stated, the hotels proximity to a busy square makes it quite loud, even with the windows shut. My other issue was that the room TV was not working, and when it finally did work, it did not have smart TV capabilities (although customer service informed me that it was supposed to be), nor did it have Cable TV (which was indicated on the provided amenities list), so it was unwatchable. Also, my partner would like me to note that the toilet paper was very low quality. The hotel was clean, safe, and in an excellent location, but ultimately, they did not deliver on their promised amenities. And, in situations like mine, Sonders lack of on-site customer service is lacking. When I complained to Sonder customer service, they offered me a $25 refund which did not cover the cost of my inconvenience. I was so pleased with my first experience in a Sonder, at Royal Gardens Edinburgh, that I had high expectations - given my experience in Barcelona, I regret that I will not feel comfortable staying with Sonder again because of the variance in quality between their different hotel products.…

Despite my pre-arrival reservations about an un-staffed hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience. The Sonder team were immediately on hand both before and during my stay and always responded to my queries straight away with polite and efficient support. The check-in process was very clear and easy and I had no problems at all using the code to get in and out of the building. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of well-positioned lighting and switches to control it. There was adequate storage with wardrobe and shelves and a pull-out desk to store things. There was maid service every day which was also clean and efficient. If I had a negative it would be that there was no food on the premises with the veggie lab being shut the whole time I was there. The rooftop terrace was also deserted but one can take one's own refreshments up there and it was pleasant sitting on the terrace with plenty of seating. Overall a very enjoyable stay and I will definitely stay at the Casa del Sol on my next visit to Barcelona. Thank you Sonder team!…

Great local in a local neighborhood. Plenty of restaurants and great square to experience local life and a laundry mat right down the street. Auto check in was easy and the room was clean. A/C was great and they respond immediately when I asked for more coffee. Easy communication and fast.

We stayed there for three nights and really liked our room. It was super clean, comfortable and spacious. Like: The room had a window, which could be opened, the bathroom was big and included all the essentials, i.e Showergel, Shampoo, Conditioner, Bodylotion, Soap and a hair dryer. The room itself was bright and clean, the bed was super comfy and there was enough space to store our stuff. The hotel is located in the heart of Gracia and just 2 min walk from Plaça Del Sol, where lots of cafes and bars are located. The typical sights, like the Plaça Catalunya, Sagrada Familia etc. are all a half an hour walk away. Dislike: Until 11pm it was a bit noisy, but got super quiet during the night. In the bathroom the drain didn't work properly, so we put the plug out to allow the water to drain away. There was a coffee machine and a kettle, however, the staff did not refill the coffee capsules so we had no coffee from the second day. This is not really a complaint, just a nice to have ;-) All in all, we really enjoyed our stay in the Sonder hotel and would recommend it if you liked to stay in the more hipster/young/artsy district of Barcelona.…
