The apartments were fine however the price quoted in booking websites is inaccurate, i was scammed over 250 euros extra from my bank account when i got home. I should have known something was wrong when i had to go to a merky ally way with an unhelpful women adding charges when i picked up keys. BE WARNED

The staff was so nice and went above and beyond. The apartment was adorable and modern, very spacious, and extremely clean. The location was absolutely perfect as well. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

There is a security deposit scam going on!!!!! When we arrived we had to walk about a mile to collect keys and we were then hit with a cleaning fee and city tax on top of our agreed amount. When we got to the apartment there were people already staying there and we had walked in on a family having...

Had to pay for the apartments in a building approximately 25 minutes walk away from where we were actually staying which was difficult to find.I was met by a woman behind the desk who seemed flustered and charged me more than I had originally booked the apartment for. She claimed this was for the cleaning of the apartment which I...

Took an extra 200 euro the day after checking out citing damage to the apartment and dirtying the carpets. This would be acceptable if: a) the apartment had carpet b) the apartment had any damage They wait until you have flown home so you cannot contest the surcharge. Avoid these crooks like the plague. As for the place itself -...

Cant understand a company that requests a deposit that will be refunded if no damage caused but keep the deposit and claim there was damage to a carpet in an apartment with all wood or tiled flooring throughout as a justification for not refunding the deposit. The company will do this time and time again and id advise people to...

we stayed here in April 2016, paid for cleaning of the apartment on arrival. Not once were the apartments cleaned or fresh towels allocated. Staff not helpful at all and the reception desk is miles away. Left after a couple of days. When I returned home, I was checking my on-line banking and noticed they had taken a large sum...

Booked this apartment through an agency, collecting the keys for the apartment did cause a few problems as it was from a different place and once we got there we were informed of additional costs that the agency "forgot" to mention, but apart from initial hassle, the apartment itself was a great choice. It was clean and fully furnished which...

We booked in a few days before and drove down from France, had a fantastic time in the penthouse apartment that was a 1 minute walk from both the Las Ramblas and Boqueria, parking although not attached to the block was a minute away and the apartment was exactly as described. The staff were very helpful and even stopped the...

We booked this apartment to meet the needs of my wife and me, my daughter, son-in-law and my two young grandsons. The location was superb but the apartment had many shortcomings. It was shabby; there were insufficient items of cutlery and crockery; there was infrequent hot water (the gas boiler didn't work properly); the TV had only one English channel but...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
