By local standards, this is good value. My room was quiet and comfortable. The location is a bit outside the centre, which makes it quiet, yet there is a nice rambla around the corner with good choices for dining out. If you prefer, you can get a pizza delivered to your room. Get a bottle of wine from the supermarket...

All standards of HIE were fulfilled. Nothing special. Area is a little bit boring, but not dangerous. The advantage is that it is really quiet there! But disadvantage - not big shops in the neighborhood! City Beach is not far. Breakfast was adequate, price was ok.As a platinum member we got free Internet connection and late check out. I am...

Calle pallars, "poble nuevo" is in what used to be an industrial area of Barcelona that has become gentrified, you are at walking distance of the completely redesigned beach, through las ramblas close to a wonderful restaurant Els pescadores where the the Catalan elite likes to eat fish and specialities, really worth the experience. La Mercadona supermarket is just around...

I took a cruise that departed from Barcelona, Spain and returned back to same port. Once cruise was over, I spent 5 days in Barcelona. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Llacuna. The staff was very helpful in helping me navigate our my through the city. The free breakfast was a little boring for me not enough choices....

We had 2 nights at the HI Express. The hotel is clean and provides more than an adequate breakfast. Its big advantage to us was that it was only 2 sreets away from the Subway stop Llacuna(.Yellow line 4). We bought a book of 10 tickets, 9 Euro, and visited the Harbour/fish restaurants . 2 stops away at Barceloneta, we...

Barcelona hotels are a bit too expensieve. That one was the cheapest I'd found, so i didn't expect too much. But the stay was a nice surprise. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast for free. Maybe not in the city centre but metro stop just two blocks away. Also local rambla close to the hotel with plenty of restaurants. Good...

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and had booked a cruise that departed from Barcelona, so we booked a 2 night stay here before the cruise. As we were jetlagged, we did a lot of sleeping in our room. The room was a good size, bathroom was very big and everything looked clean and modern. No free wifi...

a little pricey, but cheapest we found in the area with such amenities.. we found hotel prices in barcelona generally more expensive than other cities we visited.. nice hotel nonetheless, modern, clean, great shower and bathroom setup. the area is a little deserted and not very tourist-oriented.. about a half hour walk from La Sagrada, and 15 minute walk to...

We booked three double non smoking rooms with early check inn and check out but on arrival were given three twins one of which smelt of smoke. After complaining we were allocated doubles on the 6th floor which were fine for our stay of three nights, although there are no good views from the hotel and lots of little things...

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
