Firstly this is not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the ratings. No swimming pool, no room service, no thermostatically controlled showers - the latter are a requirement for a 3 star hotel. That said, at 78€ a night it wasn’t 4 star prices. The good bits - the hotel is close enough to the city center to walk. You get to follow the route of the aqueduct. The quality of food in the restaurant for dinner is very good. We had an excellent meal for a very reasonable price. The room was a reasonable size even with the sofa bed extended for our son. The building is very old and quaint. The not so good bits - The beds were very hard and pillows very flat. I had to fold it over to make a comfortable sleep. The bathroom was very dated with a treacherous telephone style shower attachment, where the hose gets caught in the hot tap and turns the flow to scalding. The only good bit was excellent shower pressure. There are 2 restaurants attached but neither are accommodating hotel guests. For our last night we just wanted to eat very light. Neither the restaurant or “cafe” would allow us to have just a snack. We ate in a local bar for our last evening. I would not return to this hotel. Rating this as a 3 star hotel I’d give it an average rating mostly because of the price for bed and breakfast. As a 4 star it would be poor because it falls well short of what we expect from a 4 star hotel. …
The location is excellent, literally 10 minutes walk to the Aqueduct. The hotel has free parking (including an underground garage). The breakfast was yummy and included in the room rate, loads of food and well stocked. The bar looked nice although we didn’t try it, and there is a pretty courtyard next to it. We didn’t dine in the restaurant. Our room was very basic and boring. The décor was quite uninspiring, the bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly and didn’t lock, the shower head wouldn’t fit into the holder, but saying that the water pressure was excellent and hot. There were a couple of nice free amenities like the biscuits in the room and the free body lotion that seemed good quality. The reception staff were very friendly and so were the breakfast staff when something run out they quickly replaced the item. Would we stay there again? if the room was at the right price we would yes.…
I wish we could have stayed longer. The building is lovely and historic. Nice bathroom with heated towel rack. The bar area is very busy.a particular wAiter was rude and brusque. Front desk staff Miriam was helpful and professional. Breakfast was very nice as well
I booked this hotel some months ago through Amona. Amona contacted me to say that the company had gone into liquidation and that I should contact the hotel to ensure that my booking was still valid. I received an email from the hotel advising me that our booking was confirmed. We arrived in the middle of a rainstorm to be told by the lady on the front desk that our booking had been cancelled. I had received no notification of this cancellation by the hotel in advance despite the fact that they clearly had my email address. The attitude of the staff on the front desk was horrendous. No help or advice at all was offered. We speak fluent Spanish so there were no communication problems. I can't comment on the hotel itself as we didn't stay there and booked a room at the Parador instead which was delightful.…
We stayed for 2 nights on unit 106, main floor, the room didn't have a view (window in front of a wall), but it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close from the current beginning of the famous Segovia aqueduct, just walking along it to the town center is an attraction. The hotel has free covered parking spots or you can use their garage for a fee. As an old monastery, it has a beautiful cloister with rooms around it. The breakfast buffet is very good. If one day we will be back to Segovia, this hotel will be in our preference list.
