If you want a quiet, beautifully furnished hotel with excellent staff then this hotel is the one to choose. It is situated just outside the old city walls and is perfectly located within a few minutes walk of restaurants and the wonderful city square. On arrival we were offered a choice of rooms and opted for one looking out towards...

This hotel is just outside the old city centre. An easy although uphill walk to all the wonderful sights of Salamanca. The staff were the really outstanding aspect of this hotel. The reception area is down some stairs from the front door and the staff seemed to keep a very close eye out so that they could help guests with...

This hotel is steps to the historic district of Salamanca. Hotel is very well maintained. The rooms are very large. The bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Definitely got the impression that everyone was very pleased we stayed there. Reception was very good, very helpful.

It was a complete delight to stay at this hotel. This statement is coming from someone who just visited Madrid and all of northwestern Spain for 18 straight days and most of the time stayed in hotel suits. The personal attention to every detail in this hotel is just completely unmatched by any other establishment I have ever visited. Every...

There are several "top" hotels in Salamanca (a wonderful, walkable city), but preferring very nice boutique hotels, we chose to stay at the Hotel Rector where we had two rooms. At first glance, because the hotel is not "technically" within the city walls, the location seems to be a disadvantage. HOWEVER, in this case, the hotel is "across the street"...

These were some of the nicest hotel staff I have ever come across. So helpful, but not intrusive at all. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Spotless. Great location. Five stars! Breakfast was lovely as well. They set us up at Vino Diario, which was our best meal in Spain.

The staff was super friendly. The lady that checked us was very knowledgeable and courteous. She was tremendously welcoming. Location is right below the city and only steps from the main attraction. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Salamanca

Hotel Rector is one of the places we won't forget. It's beautully appointed - beyond most in detail and quality. They even had beautiful Portuguese lace sheets - about the best you can find. The bed was one of the most comfortable in our 4 week travels, the bathroom and shower a pleasure to be in and we were so...

The Hotel Rector sets the standard for boutique hotels in Spain. It is a small b&b that caters to classy European tourists (especially Brits), many of whom come here often. Some Americans show up as well. The guests expect prompt courteous service. And the hotel staff delivers. When you arrive, your luggage is taken from your car directly to the...

This is long overdue nonetheless we are still reminiscing our visit to Salamanca and our stay at Hotel Rector. This hotel is so special the moment you walk in you know you've made the right choice. The place is spotless, well appointed and simply elegant from top to bottom. Stellar service, staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Top notch accommodation,...
