had 3 great nights here in a smallish but adequate room which was good value but Saturday night was expensive. Downstairs is cafe la mama which is not yet established on trip advisor. A delightful cafe with a wonderful hostess!!!

Inexpensive, clean, and in a great location. I would certainly return to this hostal. No more than a five minute walk from the Cathedral, and despite its central location, it was very quiet at night. Many shops, bars and restaurants are also close by. Cannot be beaten for the money.

It is clean but very very basic. Also, the size of the room is ok but the bathroom is really small. Good location I think: just outside the touristic area, yet not far at all from the main attractions. Nearby you'll find a lot of bars to go for pinchos.

This place is close enough to the old town, the Catherdral etc. The room was simple and small but clean. The man at the reception was extremely kind and helpful with a number of things we needed to organise before starting our Camino. All in all, it was good value for money as it was cheaper than a lot of...

I stayed for two nights at the Hostal Carrales in September 2014, booking online and paying a total of 56 Euros, which I though represented excellent value for money. Breakfast was not available, but there are several very good cafes serving breakfast in the same street as the hotel. In one of them, a cafe con leche and croissant cost...

We stayed here while cycling the Camino. The rooms were basic but serviceable. The small bathroom had amazing water pressure in the shower! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided secure storage for our bikes.

The Hostal is not far away from the old centre town (cathedral) but its facilities are pretty poor. Located in a old building, the room showed to be small as well as the bathroom. The floor was dirty as were the edredons. The bathroom was functional but old. The sound insulation was poor what led to be disturbed by the...

Heading to Cantabria in N Spain for a break. Stopped over in Burgos for the night and see the Cathedral. Beautiful city and superb atmosphere. Needed a low cost room and discovered Hostal Carreles. It might be cost effective but a quality room with ensuite. Shirt walk to all main Attractions and bars etc. free overnight parking just across the...

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend hostal Carrales. They have lost my luggage left for safekeeping. They said my luggage had been thrown away to the garbage bin by mistake and could not be recovered, but my opinion is that it was rather due to disorder and lack of respect for my property. You´d better look somewhere else for accommodation, even though...

Very basic hostel, but very comfortable and the cheapest deal we found; quality for the price is higher than average. The building is somewhat old but the rooms and common areas have been refurbished. Welcoming staff; they point you around if you need directions. The Cathedral is 10 minutes walk away across the center of the city (paseo del Espolon,...
