I enjoyed my week staying here. Lovely clean room with everything i needed. Desk staff very friendly. The breakfast selection was the best I've seen in 14 trips to Europe. It is out of town but there is an hourly bus from just outside. The last bus back however is around 10pm. A taxi after that is about 6 euros.
This hotel is simple, Yet very nice. I got a fantastic room on the Fist floor with balcony and table with chairs. Is not in the city, but you can go by bus or take a taxi. You get great views of Toledo all along the road Circunvalacion. The manager is very nice man. The front desk people I dealt with they were not too nice, that's ok. If you traveling with car you can park in front of the hotel. This hotel has been The "Best" hotel i had stayed in recent years, clean, great price and kept in very good condition. I would not hesitate to go stay there again, if I am in Toledo.
My husband and I drove back from Portugal and decided that we were going to stop off in Toledo. We stayed at this hotel. What an amazing hotel it is. And the prices are very affordable. The building is beautiful (architecture). Felt like we were in a tiny castle. The staff welcomed us (we came a bit late). They suggested where we go to eat (local food with the locals)at that time, they even explained the rules and closing times etc re that city during this time and corona restrictions. The room we stayed in was amazing. View of the whole city. We had an amazing terrace/patio.We were taken aback by the view we had. The bathroom was big-commodities included-soap etc. Bidet included. Heating was good. Modern furnishings. In the winter the floors are normally cold in Spain (throughout), this hotel was almost as if they had floor heating (who knows). It has a very warm, cozy feeling to it. The bed was comfortable and extra linen provided. Internet worked well. This hotel should be a 4 or 5 star hotel. A short walk into the city, the location is absolutely perfect. Adriana and all at reception were friendly and helpful. Now that we have discovered this hotel, we will be back for sure. Thank you sooo very much for the hospitality displayed Los Cigarrales, keep up the great work. Perfect!!! Now go....book!! :)…
Stayed for 2 nights and it was an excellent choice since I love a morning walk - the views are stunning! The rooms are modern and clean, the road a little too loud for sleeping with open windows, but this is what ear plugs are for. Enjoyed the walk to the old city centre along the old bridge. The staff, especially Ariana were super nice. Muchas gracias
Great location in front of old city. 5-10 € by taxy to the center. 1 km by feet to a beautifull bridge. Clean rooms, a little bit noisy at night because of a road under the windows. Good breakfast. Recommended for 1-2 nights to visit Toledo.
This hotel has an excellent location and a beautiful balcony view. The hotel is family owned and staff is super nice and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are nice and clean. Good breakfast. We can recommend this hotel very highly.
Stayed in this hotel for five nights with three young teenagers because it was local to the wedding hotel which was fully booked. It was not our first choice hotel but satisfied our requirements. The hotel is a family run converted mansion house which is common in this area and typical old Spanish style. We rented two adjacent rooms, three bed and two bed which shared a small hallway which was ideal as could close hall door but leave rooms open when wanted to allow kids to wander. The rooms are a little dated and my bed too firm for my back but the air conditioning unit worked great as temperature outside was 37. Hotel only served breakfast and had no bar or mini bar in bedrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful and explained that they had a more modern hotel about 5 minutes walk which had pool, restaurants and bar which we could use, so kids were happy to walk whenever they wanted. We walked into town a number of times which took about 15 minutes and taxi back as the return journey was up hill. I would definitely stay in the area again because of the views over Toledo and the rural setting but will try the sister hotel ( Hotel Abaceria ) because of the pool for the kids. …
The hotel is located outside the old city you need to walkabout 15 min but it offer you the chance to check the city from outside which is really great! The hotel is family owned and staff are really friendly they can talk to you over 30 min if you ask about something which I found really great and you can not find in hotels this days so I really recommend this hotel.
I noticed quite a few not-so-good reviews for this hotel. The only reason I am not rating it a "5" is because of the beds. The mattresses were not at all comfortable for me. We loved the location. It offers a great view of the historic area of Toledo. It's a beautiful 15 minute walk to the bridge that crosses into town or 25 minutes to the escalators. We made the trek three times. We were in a three-bed room with a balcony. The third bed was in its own private alcove. The bathroom was clean. No signs of mold. The bathtub/shower is pretty small. Maybe only big enough for a small child to sit in, but to be expected in Europe. Whether or not you would like this hotel probably depends on the type of traveller you are. We loved the hotel and would stay again.
We stayed there one night. The hotel is rated 2 stars, but I would give it 2,5 or 3. Great view of Toledo, especially, if you get a balcony. A little noisy, since you can hear all the neighbors come in and leave their rooms. The rooms are clean, but nothing special. It is a long walk to downtown Toledo, but the bus service is right by the hotel. Overall, recommend this place.
