the hotel is clean, everything works and the breakfast is good. service is good and friendly. the hotel itself is somewhat old (good guess 1970/1980), outdated and a bit worn. if your room faces direction the old town (north) you will have a quiet sleep. if it’s facing to the south (street), i’m not sure about that. same problem with your neighbour in the next room. you got non, then it’s quiet, if you got one you will hear it. i would say, even for the „best“ rooms, facing town, everything above 80€/n is overpriced.
Despite asking for a quiet room when making the reservation, I got one of the noisiest. The road leading past the hotel appears not that busy at first but as it is on a hill and a traffic calming hump is right in front, cars shift gears and hit the throttle until 2 a.m.. When I requested a quieter room lower down or to the other side, I was told that these are rooms of a higher standard. Although the hotel was not full, another room, even for extra pay, was not offered. My room was large enough and well furnished. The b'fast buffet was very agreeable. The location is about 30 minutes walk to the centre of the old town and has nice views towards the cathedral and Alcazar. The TV has only Spanish programmes, no English news at ll. Overall, the road noise will prevent me from booking there again.…
Arrived before check in so we left our suitcases and went to explore the old town. When we came back at 5 pm room was ready but no one cared to deliver our suitcases so we had to take them. Asked for an iron, not delivered so we had to call again. The room is very nice at least. The restaurant is not a restaurant, poor menu and service is the worst we have had and I work in hospitality, so I have PLENTY of patience and I never write bad reviews. Ordered a salad, after 15 minutes returned to tell me ingredients were not available. Ordered bread, never got it until we got the food. After 40 minutes seated being the only table we got the order of croquetas. We did not look for an outside restaurant as they mention they have a restaurant and we were very tired, but definitely not to be labeled as such. As I mentioned, I do not write reviews cause I work in hospitality and I understand how hard it is, but this is not at all a 4 stars hotel, and still have one more night here.…
We stayed on 1.9. after a long drive from Bilbao- beautiful building in a superb location outside the old town- walking distance of historic city. Checkin lady was superb- rang local restaurant which was full but managed to get us a table at another local restaurant and gave us clear directions. Lovely room with superb views to old city. Breakfast was self service but lots of choice. Good car park attached to the hotel. Definitely recommended.
The AC Marriott offers good value. Easy to find with on-site parking. About a 25 minute walk into the city. Bus stop outside hotel. The hotel is clean and special mention to receptionist Lucia - she is the most helpful and friendly receptionist and took time to explain places to visit in the city. She is exceptional. Rooms are good size with comfortable beds. Highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel has free parking BUT it is literally miles from anywhere Its a massive hike to get into town from here and equally a massive hike to get back The hotel has a neglected feel to it There is no kettle in the room and I needed some hot water to mix medicine What a performance the guy on the front desk very grudgingly microwaved some water There is no way this is Marriott standard On the check in the young lady was quite helpful the water guy less so Checking out the guy on duty didn't even get up out of his seat I just left the key (yes a big key on a fob) and he just said OK He didn't even check if I had paid Room a bit run down and beat up Breakfast poor
Smells really bad! This hotel sits outside of Toledo and has beautiful views of the historic city, but has a river running below it that can smell terrible. We had a room on the second floor above the river and it smelled like a sewer. In the night we requested to move, which they did accommodate to a first floor room - again above the river. When moving, we were told by the desk person that "the river is filthy" and that when it has rained (previous to our stay), that it can smell bad. The first floor room progressively smelled worse throughout the night. Truly a sewer smell. We realize that the hotel can't control the river or rain, but should notify the guests of the smell. The room decor is very outdated. The "superior" rooms have large balconies overlooking the city (and river). The hotel does not have any dinner/restaurant available in the evening. The breakfast buffet is limited and costs 14 Euro per person. You could walk to the city, but it would be a hike.…
Hotel rooms though quaint are very tired Not enough room sockets Lack of mirror other than in bathroom - awkward when the bathroom socket looked lethal The receptionist was rude The main restaurant was closed despite the hotel being busy - over 30 people milling about the bar/lounge area wondering where/how they could order and eat food (best option looked like delivery) - and we weren't told beforehand that the restaurant wasn't fully operational Only two good things: The bar tender who singlehandedly had to both serve drinks and take/deliver food orders - her resilience and ability to make sure people were served in the right order was commendable The bed was comfortable. Will NOT be back and it will make me think very carefully about whether I will ever use a Marriott hotel going forward…
We had a great time at this hotel. The staff truly went the extra mile to take care of us as customers. The hotel is just outside of the main part of the city, but still convenient to everything. The front desk staff, and the maintenance guy were wonderful and engaging. Thank you so much!
We stayed at this hotel only for one night on the way from Madrid to Seville and really like it. Hotel is located out of the city but if you have a car you can easily drive to the center and find parking. The views are amazing and rooms are good. It’s a very romantic hotel and hotel staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
