This is a quiet location with a traditional, classy ambience. It’s a few minutes from Tejina and a convenient jumping-off point to explore the northeast of the island. You’ll need a car. There was no aircon – fine in April but could be a problem in hotter seasons. The sea provided a constant background sound but we did not find...

When we visited the weather was cold and miserable and there weren't many visitors. It has a fabulous location and views but you have to drive through cactus greenhouses to reach it so it is not particularly pleasant. What really lets it down is the food - hardly anything we asked for on the menu was available, including wine! The...

This is a nice hotel for warm sunny weather. The facilities are good and the views of the ocean - spectacular. But it is definitely not good for 10 days in February during a damp, chilly and windy snap. It is very isolated and very difficult to find. You can't go out in the evening for a stroll, or to...

My husband and I have just returned from a week in the Hotel Rural Costa Salada near to Tejina on the north west coast of Tenerife. We booked the holiday through EasyJet and every part of it went smoothly. The hotel was as expected old fashioned, quaint, in the middle of nowhere but right on the Atlantic coast and away...

Fabulous position with amazing views. We only stayed one night and would not have wanted to stay too long here as it very secluded and involves a lot of driving to get anywhere. But the main reason for not recommending it for long stays is that the restaurant is very uninspiring. This close to the sea it should have great...

A real delight. Hidden away in an agricultural area in the unspoilt North of the island. We stayed in junior suite 112 which was set alone next to the hotel-good space ,quality and very quiet.Excellent pool and jacuzzi.Meals were better than average /good.Very helpful staff. You will need a car (lots to see) and the slope down from the car park...

The road to the hotel is ugly and goes through some agri-industries. Arriving there creates a good surprise: it is a nice villa overlooking a furious ocean, with the constant noise of the heavy waves. The main con's of the hotel are: - small rooms, with little comfort and no wifi (only at the remote front desk) - a location...

Somewhat alarmed by the approach which was a rough road through almost industrial, breeze block lined banana plantations with padlocked gates, we arrived at Hotel Costa Salada to find it right by Atlantic waves crashing onto the rocks. The hotel reception is on the top level where cars are parked. Luggage is then transported to the lower level, where the...

We had a junior suite in the annexe, with the use of a large and very comfortable and well-lit garden room in the evenings, and a pretty garden overlooking the coast - the view to the west at sunset is magical. The evening meals are excellent and great value for money, taken in the delightful dining room down at the...

Loved this place. We stayed in the family unit; spotlessly clean, full of character (a small, converted traditional house) with its own little garden and pool. The restaurant meal was real home cooking, super value; fresh bread/wine included. There is a lovely small resort just a 10 minute drive away (Baja I think) which had great fish restaurants. We only...
