Hi all, I want you to know from the off I think this is a great place and I've had unreal service. My extended review is either to help you or help the property with a snag list etc. Ill list as I'm writing this whilst I'm here so will add too. Not in any useful order. We stayed in number 54, myself and my son, 4. 1) this is a romantic place, there was fake rose petals under the sofa and the hot tub turns off at 7pm. Im not suggesting anything. 2) its a beautiful place, for the money you can get this for online the square footage is unparalleled. I've spent more in turkey in a tiny room. 3) its made for 2 people, yet one bottle of greeting water.... 4) the fridge doesnt have a freezer bit, it would he great if did, ice and or ice.lollies (4 year old) 5) it would be good if the place had a welcome pack like, wifi code, hot tub, local shop, taxi place etc. I.mean its fairly easily detected. But a late arrival and a tiny sign near door isnt enough, sometimes....There is no reception or anything but as said emails and calls are pretty quick, you collect your keys in a lock box outside the apartment. 6) the solarium door locks itself behind you, the tiny sign says this, luckily the lack of air con meant window open I posted my 4 year old in. 7) The air con didnt work, we arrived on Monday 9pm. Tuesday reported by email, help arrived in 15 mins, did the usual, not being thick check. Said it would be fixed that day. It wasnt but the fan part was. Needed regassing. Fixed Wednesday. Really really good looking after. Its not a massive air con unit and theyll turn it off on you.......but it makes a difference at night. The first 2 nights we both woke several times sweating buckets. Best way is to shut the kitchen window and door on super hot days as solarium and cooker chimney are letting hot air in. 8) washer works! Airer in Lanzarote will dry your towels in an hour. 9) solarium is shared. 10) steal a couple of sachets of salt and pepper from airport as the place doesnt supply, no biggy, just advice. 11) do NOT prepay for a taxi from airport, quoted 30-40 euros like me?, local taxi os 10-15 euros. Note they only pick up in their own areas. Imagine you stay in Manchester and want to.go to liverpool, theyll take you but will not pick you up. Liverpool will have to. 12) stuff is pretty cheap, I brought some asda tablets in hand luggage. Its not liquid....and probably cheaper but genuinely a cheaper box is about 2-3 euros. 13) always pay attractions in Euro on card, they'll ask and its dearer.... 14) at 54 walk straight up the street about 4-500m in front of you until the end and look right, there's a local shop there selling slices of cheese, ham, crisps, water, beer. My first shopping list would be; Washing liquid and fab softeners; €2.80 Matches or lighter/candles. €3 Water. Cleaning spray. 15) if you're susceptible to light in rooms, bring a blindfold as there are light domes which are great during day.... 16) they can add a childs bed but its open plan. If I wasnt single theyd be as much action happening. 17) theres an iron, a proper iron and a hairdryer....you don't need your travels. 18) smart tv doesnt have pay per view that I could see but as any smart tv it has Netflix and prime. May be worth a free month. Most people will be out but by later evening I was in with the nipper. 19) It doesnt have an oven, I wasted money on pizza. I asked and they said its the microwave its same device, so I thought one of the new systems that can be table top and microwave. Its not its just a microwave. 20) bring an adaptor if you have laptop etc the room has two usb charging point near bed for phones. 21) A cooker hood light wouldnt go amiss even just a push light. 22) 2 frying pans, no spatula or prongs (for accommodation provider). 23) the cleaning is hit and miss, see pics but later learned theres no cleaning service included in accommodation. 24) I reported a weird smell in the kitchen around half way through stay and once again the customer service was impeccable..guy was at the door within the hour. They unfortunately couldn't smell anything. I still can and its very off.putting for a kitchen. My son can smell but he may just be agreeing. …
Booked 2 nights for husbands birthday, room 54 deluxe suite (have stayed in both deluxe suites now) lovely and clean, spacious, well equipped, the solarium with the hot tub is great although the hot tub was a bit sandy so could do with a clean but hey we’re there for 2 days, it’s fine. The location is fab, right by the harbour, the only issue I have, the parking is an absolute nightmare, yes the rooms can be a bit noisy but you are staying in the capital so maybe to be expected? The suite worked out at around £62 per night, with a hot tub thrown in, great value.
Booked through Booking.com back in November, all saying confirmed up to yesterday when I start getting alerts in the app about my credit card being invalid. I validate it again & again but keep getting the same message after about 10 minutes. I know my card works abroad as that is what I got it for - plus I have just used it to secure alternative accommodation with no issues. I message various places in Booking.com, I even called El Charco yesterday to explain the problem & the man I spoke to told me it was a Booking.com issue. Still getting these error message this morning & then I receive an email to say my booking had been cancelled! I call El Charco back up straight away, but this time a girl who doesn't speak English picks up & when I say I can't speak Spanish just hangs up on me. Booking.com try to help, but by the time they get through the the right person at El Charco, they have already sold our rooms. My conclusion, they didn't want a booking for just one night & used the credit card excuse to get out of it. Worst customer service I have ever received in any country I have visited, & we're not even there yet...I agree with another reviewer - they are con artists.…
We stayed 3 nights at El Charco Suites and are very satisfied. It is a spacey and interesting place and what we understand the four rooms are all different. We stayed in number 54. The room had most things you might need including fully equipped kitchen/kitchenette. Good WiFi. There is also a sun terrace with jacuzzi. Close to the pretty city centre. Staff very helpful. We can highly recommend it!
Booked a one bedroom apartment arrived and was given what can only be described as a garage no windows bed in living area no outside space apart from roof terrace that I had to walkout my main door and round to get to. To be fair the owner did come and show me another apartment that was better but again bed was in living space quite small wasn’t for me so was refunded and I moved to another apartment
Stayed here for just the night with my fiance, the facilities were amazing, one street away from the fabulous el charco de san gines. The only thing that we mentioned was while showering the bathroom flooded, as there wasnt adequate drainage and the hot tub had grit in the bottom of it, could have done with a clean, there was no noise and no disturbances, the management were there to welcome us, and the wifi is very temperamental.
Stayed here with my husband the night before flying home in March. We were delighted upon check in that the room actually looked like it did in the photos! The room (a studio, I think no.2) was very tastefully decorated and comfortable but it did have a few issues... The road outside is super BUSY! It seems to be some kind of short cut round the back of Charco and used as some kind of race track by the locals. This wouldn’t be a problem but there is no sound proofing from it in the room what so ever. The window that actually faces on to that street is only half glazed (intentionally i think, probably trad) and the other part of the window is shuttered, which rattles when it’s windy too. This really was a lovely room and if noise doesn’t bother you then I would definitely recommend this place. I would be sure to request one of the other rooms if we ever went there again. …
We booked a single night in El Charco and were absolutely delighted with the whole experience. The property is not manned but the staff are close by and came out when we arrived (we were early and it wasn't a problem) The apartment we had was excellent, well equipped to a high standard and in a great location. The hot tub and solarium was an added bonus and one we took full advantage of. We could not make the air con work so when you arrive get the person to show you how but all in all a great experience and we will definitely go back if we go to Lanzarote again
We done an overnight in arricefe as we live in puerto del carmen and price for this apartment was great loved it clean bright and spacious and the hot tub was great we took a video and showed our friends who have now booked to go next week will highly recommend and we will be back only little negative was no coffe pods for the coffee machine only chocolate and my husband won’t do instant coffee
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT IS RUN BY LIARS AND CON ARTISTS. I booked the "deluxe apartment" at El Charco Suites through them. They claimed it is a two bedroom property with a double and single in each room. The reality is it has just one bedroom with one bed. Better still the "deluxe" apartment has no windows at all - yes that's right it is actually a windowless garage. I cancelled the booking upon arrival but this con artist company lied to booking dot com where I found their advert saying I had stayed there for two hours and had used all the freebies. Sadly for them their lies were exposed as I had checked into alternative accommodation within an hour of their check in time. There were no freebies to use! After complaining to booking dot com's chief executive this company were forced to provide a full refund and booking dot com refunded the extra £300 it cost to me to get same day replacement accommodation for two nights. Sadly they are still running this company's lies on their website. AVOID AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS!…
