For two persons this was reasonable choice. The area is peaceful and the view from the upper floor balcony is really nice. However, these apartments are located very high in a hill, and there are plenty of stairs to climb from the downtown. In addition, the place is very windy. Our apartment A1 was in the outmost building, and the whistle of the wind was very loud inside, disturbing especially at nights. Wifi did not work at first but improved during our stay. The pool area is nice and quiet.
This little hotel has only ten small appartements. The appartements are ideal for couples but a bit too small for families. The kitchen should be better equipped. The location is very quiet and ideal for relaxation. A single shop is within walking distance, other services are a bit off.
Clean, friendly and the owner waited for us when we arrived after the 2030 reception close time. For what we paid, we were impressed with the room, we had a top floor room and the views of the atlantic were amazing, great watching the arm as ferry and Fred Olsen cat coming and going. The hill to town is a bit of a toughy, we did it twice a day, during our three night stay and the calfs are now solid! I would recommend this apartment, but you may need a car if you stayed for a long period of time. The fireworks on New Year's Eve were spectacular and these guys certainly know how to party on nye. All supermarkets closed on New Year's Day, but we found a souvenir shop that sold water etc We will return. Now in playa Santiago, as staying in two places on la Gom
Reasonable price and size for two person who stayed 7 nights. We checked in an apartment with balcony which is supergood when you like to eat breakfast with sunlight and seaview. Location is quite high you must prepare your strong knee and legs when you walk down to restaurants and supermarkets. Standard apartment with dramatic view from the window and balcony . Our last days was quite windy and rainy weather so our main door got a little flood there. We fixed it with handtowels and map. Anotherwise it was good place.
I just arrived back from a wonderful stay at Apartamentos Chijere, in time for Christmas. Would happily have stayed longer, but family and work was waiting! My husband joined me for the first week and my niece the second. They both enjoyed the apartment, surroundings, the helpful and friendly host and La Gomera. We had the upstairs apartment closest to the ocean, which was great, very peaceful and relaxing. No noise, plenty of room for two, a nice terrace and the most wonderful view! It was great to sit outside with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise and Teide with lots of snow on the top, and sailboats enjoying the wind, the ferries coming in from Tenerife. It is very convenient and there is even a washing machine in a little room by the pool. Makes it easy to travel with less luggage. Cleaning was perfect, we got plenty of nice and clean towels, and we slept well! Parking a rental car is also easy on the property, however we did not rent a car this time as our main purpose was to relax after a stressful year at work, and also walk as much as possible. The walk down to town is easy. Lots of shops and good places to eat! Cheap!! Few tourists and very authentic, which we really enjoy. A new SPAR shop opened close to the Apartamentos Chijere a few days before we left. They have all the food, wine and beer you might need for a relaxing time in La Gomera, but try the restaurants as well! I wanna go back!!!…
