Not that there are many choice of where to stay in Betancuria but this place is just perfect. Its not fancy, its rural, with rooms set around a courtyard in a restored villa. My partner learned from the owner that when he took it on, it was pretty much a complete ruin - what a project to restore this place...

I have just spent 5 days at Casa Princess Arminda. The setting is lovingly restored with modern amenities while retaining it's historical integrity. The new chef is fabulous! This is definitely not a 5 star experience but if you're looking for authentic charm, search no further.

We did a fabulous trek across the hills from Antigua to Betancuria last week and decided to stay in Betancuria for the night. Unfortunately Casa Princess was full but the staff rang around and located a perfect place run by Tomas, That night the town closed down! But we did have beers in the Casa Princess in a cosy little...

We were so excited to have 'discovered' this beautiful, secluded, rustic restaurant... we hadn't seen the previous reviews. However, our hopes began to fade as the young waitress - who obviously didn't want to be there - ignored us and some considerable time later 'SLAPPED' a menu on our table. We should have followed our instinct and left then but...

My girlfriend and i stayed here for a weekend and we were both overwhelmed by its rustic charm and friendly atmosphere. Betancuria itself is beautiful and to stay in such a charming place was fantastic. The rooms are clean and well appointed, the village has a few very nice places to eat and drink but please not that everywhere closes...

The room we had was large enough, but there was a trunk and large chest of drawers in the room full of linen belonging to the hotel which may have been clean or dirty and therefore all that space was unusable for us. In the period of our stay (3 days) there was no attempt to clean and tidy the...

This hotel is a typical Canarian house with a more typical Canarian Patio. It is highly recommended if you want to appreciate the nature around you. I really enjoyed the position and the fact that it was VERY far from all the touristic places. Betancuria it's a lovely place, maybe too quiet for too many people. The position is great...

We had a car and visited different places on the island every day, and this place worked great for us. Clean, simple and tranquil, perfect to relax. We appreciated the traditional architecture and the surroundings, too. Friendly staff, simple but satisfying breakfast. The only thing we'd improve is the quality of coffee served in the mornings, but it was such...

We stayed here in February and unfortunately it was cold and wet even the locals were complaining! The rooms were large with ensuite bathrooms great water pressure from the shower, Jaun was a good host and the guy who ran the bar was brilliant at feeding us in the evenings even with our poor Spanish and his 1/2 dozen words...
