Hotel's Favourite
We loved our stay at the Victoria Gran Meliá. The staff all made us feel so welcome and all very helpful when looking at trips, booking restaurants, and hiring a car. We stayed in a junior suite and went for the Red Level which is so worth it! Cocktails on the terrace with tapas every night were included which was rather lovely. The pool was great too. We could always get a sunbed and it’s a good size for a proper swim. The food market next door (Merkat 1930) is a great place for dinner. It’s a NYC style food market where everyone can choose from different restaurants (helpful with fussy kids!) and listen to a cool 80s soundtrack!

Great hotel with exceptional service. Stayed with friends for a week. Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and don't tend to write reviews, but on this occasion I felt the need to. We had a marina and cathedral view room on the red level. The hotel is a short walk from the old centre of Palma, but a very easy walk along the quay. Bike hire can be arranged very close to the hotel, which also provide space for secure storage. There is a 16km cycle path along the coast for easy access to the beach. However this is not a review of Palma, needless to say we plan to return! Hotel took Covid precautions very seriously with masks worn and hand sanitizer everywhere. The real difference however were the hotel staff. It is too difficult to name everyone, but guest experience manager Ima stood out, Mario at the terrace bar and all the guys in the hotel lobby, who were always on hand with a warm and very genuine welcome. It is a complement to the hotel leadership that I could not tell you who was the hotel manger. They have put together an brilliant team. Thank you for an outstanding holiday.

Hotel Victoria isa short transfer from the airport and a short walk from Palma centre. The location is great with superb views of the marina and Cathedral. The hotel is beautiful blending perfectly old and new. The rooms are perfect providing all of the amenities you would expect in a first class hotel. Our bar and dining experiences were without fault and good value. The red level service was excellent and for my wife and I a great way to end the day was to sit and sip cava rose on the Victoria Terrace with its spectacular views. Most importantly however was that the hotel and its facilities were upstaged by all of the fantastic staff who attended to us throughout our stay. This was without exception and leaves us with a determination to return and experience the delights of Hotel Victoria once again.

Full disclosure.....we are melia members and so are big fans of the brand! BUT......this city hotel is just fab! It oozes class and elegance! The hotel is steeped in history being 100 years old and artwork and original features remain around the hotel. Its stunning! They even have a vintage car in the hotel garage you can go and see! You know the second you walk in that's it's a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was excellent.....love the melia cava at breakfast....but maybe add a bloody mary station for added 5 star excellence? I also liked the plastic serving gloves given to us to serve ourselves on the buffet......excellent covid measure and other hotels should look to emulate that! We did the red level experience and I found that to be excellent value for money. Drinks and tapas food from 11am with wines, cava and martini fizzy stuff and beers too. Then at 6.30pm to 8pm its tapas food and spirits on the terrace. We had a premium sea view room overlooking the marina and you could see the cathedral.....wow what a view! Lovely clarins toiletries in the room......topped up every day! We mentioned at booking it was our anniversary....we had booked last September but covid forced us to cancel.....and we had lovely card and gorgeous macaroons! What a thoughtful gesture! The lovely lady in charge of the red level was amazing! She was super helpful and friendly when she saw us around the hotel. All the staff were excellent and that makes the difference between 4 to 5 star. We wanted bikes to cycle along the beautiful cycle path to arenal and we spoke to main reception (not the red level reception...more on that below) and they said leave it to us go and enjoy your day and we will email you later...that what they did..... they called the bike shop and had them reserve bikes for us and we dropped them at the hotel afterwards. Thats 5 star service for you!! The only suggestion should like to provide is red level reception should be anle to answer any query at all.....it is after all why we pay for that privledge......however the few times I asked a question I was pointed back to the main reception and that should never be the case. I also think...like other melia hotels.....they should check you in out out in the level reception and not main reception. We had to wait a while to check in....got a lovely glass of cava to be fair....but the guy in red level reception was just sitting there! Not quite right for thay to be the case! I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone! Go and spoil yourselves!
