Very well located, the staff is nice but as a construction from 1790 has some structure problems. All the steps, all opening door, all flushing and all shower noise u can hear on entire floor. The toilet doest have a sink so u can't wash your hands straight after use. But very good price.

Surely in summer you can overlook the general run down of the place and enjoy the flowerpots that have been placed generously throughout the hostel, but in winter it is not the most comfortable place to be the toilet and bathroom for shared use are both without heating, when you need to go to the toilet at night you cause others to...

Great location a short walk from the main sights and an abundance of cafes and interesting squares. The hotel has a unique atmosphere and decor, perhaps a little quirky, which adds to it's charm. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay - volunteering suggestions of events to visit. My room and the common areas were clean to...

My first solo travel to stay with a host family, I had booked Pons for two nights to explore Palma, but ended up returning to stay with my hosts on the first night after checking in. He had forgotten to tell me the outer door was locked at 1AM and having noticed I hadn't returned to the hostel, he was...

The hostal is very centrally located in the Old Town - you can literally walk everywhere. Definitely a bonus. If you're after comfort at all I wouldn't recommend. Honestly, I would say I got about 3 hours sleep a night if that, because the whole place is tiled and you can literally hear every tiny noise and the bed really...

Loved this place, idiosyncratic, stuffed with antiques and great location in Palma. Loved the roof terrace. The breakfast is a bit hit and miss though. The price is reasonable. Don't expect luxury or frills; its basic but the location makes up for it.

The positives? Well, this hostal is centrally situated down a quiet narrow lane; the owner has a certain bohemian charm (I'm kind of being euphemistic here: he is vaguely personable and friendly but looks and smells like he could do with a shower and a change of clothing); the public areas are "interestingly" furnished with an eclectic collection of ramshackle,...

Sebastian who runs the place is a true gentleman, nothing was to much trouble. Hostal Pons might not be everyones cup of tea, but I really liked it. There aren't too many mod-cons, you may have to share a shower/toilet, but the atmosphere of the place more than makes up for that. You'll feel like you've stepped back 50-100 years...

I loved this place, and for sure will return. I've never stayed in a hotel like it I don't think. When you check in, it's hard to absorb its so interesting. I half expected Shelley and Byron to come drifting round the corner in dressing gowns with a glass of claret. Very relaxing with an air of history, great location,...

Sebastián was a charming and quietly spoken host. Hostel Pons was like nothing we had stayed in before. We are retired and used to more traditional accommodation but this little gem in the middle of Palma was wonderful. We stayed one night as we had an early flight the next day and didn't want to spend a fortune on a...

“There are no quiet rooms - street or courtyard is the same - guest keep on coming back till morning and the TV noise, slammed doors etc. I guess if your young, like to party and don't mind dirt you can book a room. But there are other hostels just as bad/good for a much lower price.”
