Be sure to ask for the nice room with an outstanding view on the moon ! Nice hotel in a quite atypical place. It has nothing to do with big franchised hotels and you we had a very lovely time there ! The elevator has 2 doors !
· Easy to find. Comfortable bed. Clean sheets, towels. Lovely modern looking bathroom. Breakfast was adequate and very reasonably priced - actually they seem to include breakfast in the price for everyone. I was given breakfast free, but even at the listed €5 it's fair value. I've seen a few complaints here about the breakfast and it was fine - typical basic continental style breakfast. There was tea, coffee, juice, breakfast cereals, pre-wrapped buns, fresh bread for toasting, butter, jams, pate. · There was nothing I didn't like about the place itself. It had a slight disadvantage in that it was a good fifteen minutes walk from the main city centre and a ten minute walk from restaurants. There's a lot of building work going on at the moment in the area but that doesn't affect the place. In fact, I would say that when the work is finished this area will be very attractive for visitors to Bilbao.…
Decided to pay for secure parking as the car was fully loaded..Marisol was on reception and nothing was too much trouble. She advised where to eat and gave the taxi driver explicit instructions where to take us.Our room overlooked the river and had everything we needed. Breakfast was continental and did the job.
The staff is very friendly. The owner gave us a map and wrote all important things, where to go, where to eat where it is not safe... Breakfast is modest. Only bad thing is the smell in the room something like paint drying. Although it is in the area under construction you can easily go anywhere on foot and it is very safe. It is good for short stays. They have a nice garden for smokers
The good stuff : Helpful staff Decent wifi Quiet (only some noice from the hallway and occasionally a bus driving by. Our room was on 1st floor) Comfy bed Clean room and bathroom! Nice view to the river The other stuff: Sure, it's not super close to all the main attractions but at least you are forced to get the most of the walk to the Guggenheim since you'll approach from the river which is a plus. The hotel is placed on a small piece of land under a lot of construction - but we didn't notice and noice though. The breakfast was the low point... Can't say much good about that. To sum up: for the price it's still a bit too expensive, but compared to the other options it's good if you're only planning to stay for a few days (we stayed for two nights which was "the right amount".
