We left it a little late to book a room in Bilbao for one night at the end of our holiday, so this was the best we could find at fairly late notice in our price range for one night on a weekend. I hope the weekday rates are cheaper, but it's definitely overpriced for what you get! It's a pretty decent central location and the staff all seemed nice enough. However, the hotel has seen better days and seems a bit run down. There's a strong musty kind of smell throughout (particularly noticeable in our room). When I walked into the room and put the card into the electricity thingy, it partially fell off the wall (!) - though it did go back on again and still worked. The bed was very soft and not especially comfortable, but the worst thing was how thin the walls are. I mean, noise generally carries in hotels, but this was ridiculous - the walls may as well have been curtains for all the good they did! You can hear EVERYTHING. I definitely did not get a good night's sleep, and nor did my other half who can usually sleep through allsorts. Water pressure in the shower was good, but other than the staff and the location, that's probably the only good thing I have to say. Would I stay here again? Not if I can help it.

Good location. Walkable distance to different areas in town. There is a coin laundry near by. Breakfast is a small buffet style but with sufficient choices. There is no elevator. Very friendly staff. I would return to this hotel.

Clean, efficient and good location. I was staying on my own and felt very safe. I didn't take breakfast in the hotel because there are a couple of nice cafe bars close by. Also a big super market. Easy walks to Guggenheim, Plaza Nuevo, good shopping fairly close. I thought the staff were very friendly.

Stayed a weekend in a single room that would be better described as a single cell, how they managed to fit a bed ,desk ,chair and wardrobe into such a confined space is a feat of engineering genius. it also had a balcony which was almost as big as the cell itself. I could actually touch both walls whilst standing on the worn carpet in the centre of the dated dark confined space that had been advertised as a hotel room.

Very hard to find if your in a car or on a motorcycle. It’s good that you can park in there underground garage but it costs you. Now the hotel staff at reception very nice and friendly narrow staircase to first floor long corridors. Got into our room all we could hear is the people in the room next door walls paper thin. You could hear water running a few rooms down not a good start. Came back later during the night you could hear snoring from the room next door. The hotel could really do with a refurbishment along with sound proofing as it is looking very tiered just like we were the next morning. Breakfast was not much better.

Affordable stay near the Bilbao centre. Room was nice, roomy and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very simple, just basic choice: bread, butter, marmelade, tea, coffee, juice. Still worth to stay here.

I had read previous reviews so was concerned we had made a mistake in booking here but we were pleasantly surprised. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room clean. A very convenient location for eateries, the old city, trains etc. Plumbing was very noisy and there is no elevator so perhaps not worth more than 2 stars but the friendly staff more than compensated for these minor inconveniences. You cant expect 4 star facilities for 2 star prices

I had read the reviews before I came so was concerned about the safety around the hotel and the wifi. On arriving i was suprised to find such a lovely clean hotel in excellent location and excellent wifi. The staff speak English and the hotel is spotless and appears to have been recently renovated. All tourist attractions are within walking distance. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Bilboa. The train station is only about 100 mtrs away and bus about 50 mtrs. The area is perfectly safe.

Central and cheap The hotel is located in central Bilbao. Very simple hotel, that offers accommodation and no luxus. The offer at breakfast is simple, bad place, but if you only have a coffee, then its ok The room was on the 2nd floor and you have to use stairs all the way. Elevator not available. Ok clean and well bathed with hot water. The hotel has its own parking in the basement, which is very good. Closed whole time Unfortunately, communication with the front desk was not present as they could not speak English, and I thought hotels were living by tourists and travelers from around the world !!!

I have gait/walking challenges (stroke); accom. has to be convenient to shopping and/or sights, parking. Sightseeing all day, we really didn't spend a lot of time in the room - just for sleeping in - clean surroundings, everything worked; unique decor. Parking available. Staff – efficient, helpful. Visiting Guggenheim museum; Casco Viejo (Old Town), Plaza Nueva – top pintxos, lots of restaurants, bars. Good food options nearby to hotel, though not as many as in the old town. Affordable, one of best prices for Bilbao; value for money.
