Great 3* hotel in a handy location, near the Old Town and tram stop. Friendly, helpful staff - Unai helped us organise our weekend, with great tips on places to visit, where to eat pintxos and even how to buy the travel pass; couldn’t have a better front of house man. Although there was no bar at the hotel, it’s close proximity to the Old Town meant that wasn’t a problem. My only issue was the lack of a power shower but the hot water was plentiful and other than that, we couldn’t fault the room. Had a great weekend and would definitely recommend this as a base for exploring Bilbao.
The hotel is in the outskirts or town, close to the highway. We found the location a bit inconvinient as you have a bit of a walk to go to old-town and everything else is about an hour away. The hotel offers very little in terms of services, they have a small gym and a parking lot that holds about eleven cars (for fifty rooms) the rooms are remodeled, but not very well maintained, ours had a very strong and unpleasant smell. The TV and fridge were old and did not work very well. The elevators and hallways were dirty. Altogether a stay that I I hope I will forget soon.
We arrived in Bilbao to spend one night before driving out of the city. We were aware the hotel had limited spots, but were told additional parking was available nearby. We pulled across the street (in a non-parking spot), hoping to drop bags, get directions to parking, so one of us could check in while the other secured the car in a lot. Unfortunately the desk clerk decided to rail on about how cars were unnecessary, he had travelled through Spain, France and Italy without a car, how most hotels had a small percentage of parking for number of rooms, etc. I told him we also prefer public transport but this time we were headed to places that required a car and would he please just let us know the location of the off-site lot. Meanwhile my partner waited nearby with the car. Finally, I told him he was making me feel unwelcome. He continued being unhelpful so I sent my partner in to finish the process. I'm not sure if he had a problem with women or I reminded him of someone he had a problem with, but it was ridiculous. The room itself was okay, considering it was lowered priced. Neighborhood was so-so. But mostly I'd never recommend it because of the way I was treated. There are many better options.…
This hotel is excellently located for a trip to Bilbao: a short walk to the old town and a nice walk along the river to the Guggenheim museum (ca 30 minutes). Rooms were clean and well equipped, staff was nice. Breakfast was relatively simple but more than expected for the 6 € they charge for it. Recommended hotel for the city visit.
Large ,clean rooms with good bathrooms and fridge. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A great location for the tram and visiting the old town. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast with a good variety of food which was replenished regularly Highly recommended.
