I recently made a booking for Mirador Catedral de Santiago in Bilbao via lastminute.com. I then got response that this apartment wasn't actually available and it shouldn't had been advertised. However, the customer service informed me that i wouldn't get a full refund and i would still have to pay for management fees. I feel this is very unfair and very poor customer service of lastminute.com. Disappointing.

No vayáis! Todo horrible. Las llaves se tienen que coger una consigna. Para nuestra sorpresa, no había llaves!!! Resulta que una persona que no éramos nosotros las cogió, entro así a la habitación y dejando de lado toda medida covid, intimidad e higiene. Fue gracioso además ver cómo una persona del Mirador nos avisa del tema quitándole importancia al asunto. Para colmo, es una habitación enana, cada vez que usas el grifo suena un ruido horrible como si fuese un camión pitando, la wifi no funciona bien, la cama chirría cada vez que te tumbas, hace un calor horrible y lo peor de todo, te encuentras a gente con la puerta abierta de su habitación mientras pasas por el pasillo. Todo poco higiénico y privado. Además reservamos una habitación triple y quieren ahora que pague por un adulto más, cuando la reserva la hice para dos adultos y un niño. Por favor, hay miles de sitios donde quedarse en Bilbao. Que no os rompan las vacaciones un alojamiento como lo han hecho con nosotros y menos aún, que no os maltraten en la salud.…

Nos ha pasado lo mismo que han comentado antes. El trato hacia los jóvenes es vergonzoso y en el ultimo momento nos dijeron que debíamos de pagar 100€ en el momento de llegada cuando no lo habian mencionado antes en ningun sitio. Por no hablar del dinero que no piensan devolver desentendiéndose del tema. Una vergüenza que se aprovechen así y tengan tantos prejuicios y encima se queden con el dinero.

Hicimos una reserva para el 3 de abril y tras pagarla y tenerla confirmada, nos llamaron diciendo que no querían jóvenes porque habían tenido malas experiencias. Llegamos al acuerdo de cancelar la reserva para evitar problemas, pero no han querido reembolsarnos el importe (cuando el problema no era nuestro) ni han querido mantener la reserva que ya habíamos hecho. Atención al cliente pésima.

Front desk lady more concerned by her rest rather than her guest. RECEPTION WAS CLOSE WHEN WE ARRIVED. Spoke to the lady to wait for us as we had issue on the road. She said she was going to, but at 23.15, nobody was there to attend us when we arrived. We had to find another place at midnight to sleep. We were reminded along the way of our mistake with screenshots of the booking terms and conditions, thank you for your “great” hospitality. If you’re not able to wait extra time for your clients, just close down your hotel and do something else of your life. We tried to call the next day, and even went to the hotel to get the 2nd night, we had no answered whatsoever. Hôtel terms and conditions are a trap, beware of that.

Aparte del comentario anterior, después de no recibirnos en la recepción el dia que llegamos porque llegamos a las 23:20 incluso habiéndoselo comunicado, perdimos la noche de hotel, al día siguiente intentamos ir para hacer el check in y no perder la segunda noche y NADIE NOS ABRIO LA PUERTA, son tan caradura y falta de respeto que ni ni siquiera nos atendieron el teléfono, simplemente cancelaron la reserva de 2 noches. No saben nada de atención al cliente , deberían de cerrar un hotel con este tipo de atención.

Guesthouse idéale en plein centre de la ville. Accueil trés sympatique et trés professionnel. Chambre propre et trés confortable. Une superbe cuisine est à disposition pour prendre le petit déjeuner. Bon rapport qualité prix pour un emplacement top.

THE GOOD NEWS: The location was practical - close to many restaurants. The staff was very friendly - and the breakfast for EUR 7 per person was a good offer. The parking offered for EUR 15 per night was close by and were accompanied by a friendly member of staff to and from the parking facility - although we had to take our luggage several hundred metres between the parking facility and the accommodation. The rooms and shared bath and toilets are well cleaned. BUT: Considering a price tag of EUR150 per night Friday-Sunday, the room was tiny - less than 10 sqm - and the bed was difficult to get into for the second person. This is the smallest room we have had for a very long time, and we are both very experienced travellers. We wonder whether we were actually allocated a single room - but for two persons. The accommodation location is inaccessible to cars - being located in a walking street. Unfortunately we had overlooked the fact that we were allocated a room without private bath - not ideal for an elderly couple. We got the impression that the majority of guests were young people willing to share rooms in an apartment. How they can afford a price tag of EUR 150 per day remains a mystery to us. In the overview an outside area is referred to. Whether that is on the rooftop, we do not know. We were never introduced to that facility. Finally the sewage system next door was quite noisy. Also the doors to other rooms could easily be heard, when opened or closed. A CONSOLATION TO MAKE UP FOR ANY DISAPPOINTMENT: We highly recommend a Michelin mentioned restaurant nearby: Los Fueros - in a narrow street close to the parking facility. 4 courses for just EUR 30…

Fantastic location close to the cathedral. Really nice, clean and well maintained room with bathroom. A communal kitchen area that's very well equipped. Good (free) WiFi connection. I rececieved a lovely welcome from Ana who described the local attractions. All in all a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely book this place again for my next trip to Bilbao. Thanks Ian

Aunque técnicamente en Booking no aparece como un hotel, dan a entender que si lo son. La verdad es que son habitaciones acondicionadas de un apartamento, con paredes extremamente delgadas al punto que no se podía dormir, ya que se escuchaba el televisor, conversaciones y demás de las otras dos habitaciones. En cuanto a los baños, el lavamanos, la ducha y el inodoro producen un sonido estruendoso cada vez que son utilizados, no se muy bien como describirlo pero nos despertaba cada vez que alguien los utilizaba. Lo único rescatable, es la atención de Ana Catalina, quien es muy atenta y amable. Costó 430 euros por 3 noches lo cual es un precio exagerado por no poder dormir, solo en virtud de la locación del sitio.
