We booked a Junior Suite in combination with a tasting menu at the restaurant Ola Martin Berasategui. The hotel is perfectly situated to discover Bilbao by foot and lies between the City centre and the old town. The hotel is quite and the room is clean, spacious and has a balcony. Great breakfast and the staff overall is very friendly and helpful. I can recommend this hotel to anyone, who wants to pay a bit more than average to have a great experience in Bilbao.

Very friendly staff - even noticed it was my birthday during my stay and as a token they gave me a gift. Very thoughtful. A great location to tour the City, near the Old Town and a tram stop to explore further afield.

The hotel was a perfect place to stay during my Bilbao visit. The hotel location is very convenient and nearby many of Bilbao attractions. Staff here were amazing and extremely helpful with the seamless check-in process and being courteous, offering an early check-in to the genuinely nice touch with sweet on the next day for every small detail this hotel provided. I would highly recommend and definitely staying here again.

The hotel is simply lovely. An old building, sympathetically made really modern. It had everything we needed, the reception staff were amazing and it was a great base to explore the city from. The room was a junior suite and had all the amenities you would expect. Some lovely architectural quirks made it a joy to stay in! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff! Shout out to the guy at receptions who managed to get our football tickets printed at short notice!!

My wife and I were charmed with how the hotel was able to combine the historical beauty of the building and its modern ammenities. They did a very creative job highlighting the history and integrating the modern facilieites (e.g., heating, elevator, etc.) into the overall aesthetic. Hotel Tayko is located at the edge of the old town which makes both Old and New sides of Bilbao accessible. There are multiple taxi/tram and metro stands nearby to move around the city. The hotel had ammenities like a cafe/restaurant and Ola (Fine Dining restuarant). They also had a gym which I just peaked into and it was suitable for a quick workout. The room of the hotel had all the essentials; a comfortable bed, working desk, safe, closet space. The bathroom was no frills shower, sink and toilet. This no frills approach is the theme to most of the hotel which suits the traveller that is out and about majority of their stay. I would without a doubt recommend Tayko. Staff took care of all our needs, rooms were to our liking and the location was central.

You will feel Taiko like home in Bilbao, all the staff is very kind and helpful, rooms are comfy, clean and cool. We had a La Riba view room very spacious and with a beautiful light. The building is reformed with very good taste and combining old materials with new ones. And of course it has an unbeatable location near the Casco Viejo and 10 minutes walk to Guggenheim museum. Best hotel in Bilbao for me, we will come back asap!

The hotel is excellently located in the edge of the old town by the river. Everything in wishing easy walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful with all the questions we had and went the extra yard to assist. The room was average size but comfortable and well serviced.

We were happy with choosing Tayko for our 4 day visit to Bilbao. It is modern rustic industrial style design place, with good comfort and cleanliness. The food is great as you would expect of a 4 star hotel in Euskadi, We had a fine dinner at Ola which deserves its 1* Michelin, perfect for last night. Surprising wine pairing for the dinner though, with several very sweet but excellent whites, plus a 2020 French Pomerol (!) as the red. Would have liked a written list for the pairing along with the written food menu. We were three who shared the junior suite, which had enough space and comfort. Would be nice with more wardrobe space, though. One the border of the Casco Viejo it can get a little noisy in the streets, but the double glass windows is an effective sound barrier. Everyone helpful, English well spoken. Location is very good, especially of you don't mind a 20 minute relaxed stroll to the Guggenheim. Rail stations, food market, theater and old town close by.

Lovely hotel with fantastic and very helpful staff. The hotel is located in the old town and is ideally located for the excellent pinxtos bars. The room was nice and clean. Could have done with more storage space.
