I cannot fault this hotel. We booked very last minute and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were so polite and helpful. The room was immaculate and had great facilities - hairdryer, kettle, fridge etc. Value for money was outstanding and I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. Fabulous central location too.
Absolutely amazing hotel. I was a bit apprehensive after booking a 2* hotel last minute but I can honestly say it's better than some Spanish 3* hotels I've stayed at. Compact but clean and well-equipped rooms with fridge, safe, tea and coffee making facilities. Communal area on first floor with Nespresso machine and water. Lovely, friendly and welcoming staff on reception making us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. Perfect location near bars, restaurants and the Guggenheim and the airport bus literally stops outside.
First impressions were that this hotel was clean, modern and comfortable and friendly staff all able to speak English very well. It’s location is very convenient, just minutes away from the Guggenheim and a many good restaurants, bars and convenience stores. The bus stops right outside the hotel and the hotel parking is only minutes away and can be booked for a reasonable price. Beds are very spacious and comfortable and when we had an issue with the shower drain being blocked it was fixed immediately. The thing that really compelled me to write a review is the way in which the hotel staff pulled out all the stops to help us when my father was taken unexpectedly ill one evening and had to be hospitalised for a few days. The lady at reception (apologies I didn’t get her name) was so helpful in calling us taxis to be able to get to and from the hospital, extending our stay at the hotel despite them being very busy and when my dad was discharged left a lovely hand written note wishing him well in his room. They really went above and beyond to reassure us that we didn’t need to worry about our accommodation for however long we would need to be staying and this was really a massive weight off our shoulders. This hotel may not be the Ritz but they certainly know how to serve their guests with so much care and professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend the Cosmov for anyone visiting Bilbao.…
The room dimension (102 sq ft) are deceiving. The design of the room layout make the most of the space. Usually, when you get a room of this size, you get a single bed and a small bathroom. Here, you get a full twin bed and full sized bathroom. The photos supplied by the hotel are accurate. Service and cleanliness are excellent.
This hotel was wonderful. We spent two nights there. Patricia at the front desk did a super job. No far from the river walk and the Guggenhiem. The bkack and white colors were very intriguing. They even had a salon with coffee and water.
We booked this hotel for May 2020 using a non-refundable rate. As expected we are unable to use this booking and had assumed this money was lost, but were very happy to receive a full credit this week without even asking! We hope to be able to rebook this hotel as soon as travel is available to us.
We were traveling with a baby and asked for a double bed as our daughter sleeps with us.The hotel provided the double bed requested and also a baby cot free of charge and a baby tub so we could bathe her. Also the receptionist came along to show us how everything works. The hotel even provides umbrellas to the guests for the rainy days. Last but not least the coffee lounge in the common areas where there's free coffee.
This is a great hotel in Bilbao, with excellent service from the staff. They were very considerate of our needs. We definitely look forward to visiting again in the near future. Thank you. Regards, Austin.
We stayed here for 2 nights and we were really pleased with the hotel. It’s in a great location, close to the Guggenheim and about a 20 minute walk to the old town with lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby. Spotlessly clean with really friendly, helpful staff. Good sized rooms with everything you need including some toiletries. The only reason I’m not rating this a 5 is that like others have said the walls are really thin meaning you can hear everything from the rooms/communal space and also during our stay, the bedroom was far too hot. The staff explained that this is due to the A/C being zoned and I imagine they were not expecting it to be 22+ degrees in February. Despite this we would return and the fact the airport drops you off on the doorstep is a massive bonus!
Booked this 2* hotel based on some reviews (and price) and glad I did. Rather central to things—the airport bus drops you literally at the door of the hotel. Friendly and efficient check-in, with an elevator to the 1st floor rooms. Hotel has a "cheap and cheerful" vibe to it, which is good! The most basic room had a bed for one, a decent washroom, and absolutely no view ;). A plus of this meant it was generally very quiet. Only negative to the room was a tendency for Spanish hotels (this was not the only one) to use a strong flower scent to freshen the room. Awful, but the windows open and clear it quickly. You may ask that they do not use it when they do the daily clean. They offer free Nespresso and cookies in the central sitting area, which is rather nice. And the hotel breakfast is offered at the Guggenheim of all places (which was fine if a bit overpriced for what it was) Close to the Guggenheim and a 15 min walk to old town, the overall location is pretty good overall—very walkable. If I was staying in Bilbao again I would stay here.…
