We stayed in Gijon for one night on the Camino del Norte. This lodging is over a cidar bar and smells pretty funky. The room was so so clean. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. The staff was very kind but I would not choose to stay in this place again.

We were so looking forward to our visit to Gijón, to experience the true Spain. We sat here for 10 minutes waiting, we were not acknowledged or served. Staff walking past us ignored us completely. After 10 minutes we left. Very disappointed I would avoid this place. See previous reviews if you doubt me.

Lovely lunch despite the mussels having finished. The waiter had no English and we had to point to what we wanted on the menu next to the doo, which added to the experience. The chorizo in cider was different and good and the sardines were excellent. Wine, excellent value for money, and some of the best we have had in... More

Standard of room reasonable. Suppose to be Bed and Breakfast but alas no breakfast supplied by the tour operator CaminoWays & Co/Greenlife Tours who say one thing, but the hotel operator says another. Well you loose. Nice location. Rooms quite presentable. Fortunately close to other places who are capable of providing presentable food.

Much of what the other reviewers say is true for our stay but we probably had it a bit better as we went in October. The hotel has two floors above the bar/sideria and the hotel is therefore enfused with the smell of cider and seafood. The owner and other staff were nice and friendly. When the weather is warm... Good locationm for the old quarter of Gijon but when you step inside the nightmare begins. A reception desk above a filthy bar, stinking of cigarette smoke. The room and bathroom were filthy with both dirty sheets and towels, the curtains were hanging from the tracks. It was so hot we had to have the windows open but the noise... More

A large house ideally placed in the middle of the old town, packed with history and antiques. Comfortable en suite rooms. This hotel is definitely not a boutique hotel but has lots of original character and is all the better for it. The location is ideal for the old town of Gijon, the town and the beaches. The Sideria on... More

A perfect place to stay. Low-key. Tucked away off a windy street, this hotel is wonderful. You are greeted by "Clinton", the little dog that stays around the hotel. Rooms are quite comfortable, and the continental breakfast is just enough to get you going to start your day. Close enough to walk to the center of Gijon. Stayed there twice,... More
