Ideally situated by the Cathedral and Palace. Unfortunately the rooms are very small and basic. We found the 3 bed room cheek by jowl, with no room to unpack. So we moved for a little extra to a luxurious hotel, not far away.
Worst hotel ever, I have to give up the reservation as they gave me a room with a very bad smell from the sewage and this was mentioned in the customers comments from one year already; one would have imagined that this would have been fixed after more than one year but no, it was not and they continue to reserve and sell the room again and again without any consideration for the customers which are paying for the room expecting at least some decent conditions.
Location terrific, staff helpful, shower, bed, pillows good. BUT few electrical outlets in room, no place to put luggage, old bath towels, lots of dust under beds and mini fridge, cramped room for price.
Loved our 5 nights in this hotel. The location is the best, on a quiet street near the Cathedral, Alcazar, and excellent tapas restaurants. We found our (#31) room, bathroom, housekeeping satisfactory , and the sound of the horses passing by in the evening was enchanting. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would love to return with other family members.
This place deserves its one star for its location. It’s great. But here are the bad things. The front desk is closed at 10. We arrived and went out immediately coming back after 10. On our way out we had to ask at the front desk for soap. They have shampoo and soap in the shower but.... more on this later When we returned, tired and sleepy, we stepped into a very hot room (over 30 degrees at 10 pm). We turned on the very noisy air conditioner to bring the temp down. The front counter had brought us one hotel sized soap... for three people. That’s OK because where would we keep it. The bathroom is tiny. If you sit on the toilet your knees touch the other wall. You have to step over the toilet to get to the shower (with the soap dispenser). That single bar of soap was expected to last our four day stay. It was never replaced. Reading other reviews about the big room, toothbrush, and shave kit. Nope nope nope. They have notes on the walls about not putting the luggage on the beds; understandable but then have luggage racks or more floor. When we turn off the lights and went to bed we where witness to a symphony of sound. The un attached head board clanged against the wall with every move and the air conditioner made a racket like a two stroke scooter with MotoGP aspirations. I won’t mention the refrigerator that spasmodically sighed at random intervals Unable to figure out the controls for the A/C we finally had to pull the power for the whole room to make it shut up. No charging up your phone or other devices. The next morning our breakfast, fruit, bottle of water, pastry and espresso for the adults and hot milk for my daughter, arrived at the request time. Was it worth the extra cost? I’ll say yes. While placing the dishes out side the room we were able to hear another patron expressing the same concerns as we felt adding such things as the room was dirty and sheets unclean. You go North American sounding female. She, like us, has been on a multi week trip with multiple hotels and by far the H Boutique has been, hands down the worst and frankly a shame. As stated this hotel is right in the heart of it. Easy walking distance to the Alcazar (you could fall out a window and get there) the Cathedral (hold your breath and walk) or even the Bull Ring. But if you want a room that functions as a hotel room, look elsewhere. …
