I stayed in the Hostel for four nights in room number 1. I really enjoyed my visit of the city because Sevilla is just beautiful and also because the hostel was so cool. The beds are actually comfortable which is always nice. My room was for six people and had its own bathroom. You can shower really hot and with a strong pressure, which is always nice. On daytime you can always easily find someone from the staff and the rooms get cleaned everyday (at around 12 o clock, one time I was woken up by it; they don't adapt their routine to your sleeping schedule; I found that to be okay). The common living room is pretty small but I didn't expect one to be there so I was not disappointed. The Wifi can be kinda weak in the sleeping rooms but is good in the shared areas. In my opinion the hostel is in a good area, right at the Almeda de Hercules, so you can easily find your way back and get a breakfast right in front of the door. There are also enough power points, but if you are in a upper bed, you need to disturb the person above you a bit. Every bed has its own little light which is really bright. All in all, one of the best hostels I stayed in. The hostel originally attracted me with a discount, so maybe that's also plays a role. I did not pay twenty Euros or more a night, but 57 Euros for four nights. And they take their check in-times seriously! I arrived before 12 o clock and they told me to go and come back at the right time so that I won't disturb the guests. Maybe keep that in mind. As there are many coffee shops close, that was not a big deal.…
The staff and owners of this place are the most horrible and rudest people. Very surprised they decided on hospitality as a business. Rooms are dirty, no atmosphere and the common areas are to small. Would avoid.
It looks like the hostel's name changed recently; it is now called Babel Hostel Sevilla. Cons: cockroaches in the bathroom; no wifi (the public computer upstairs also doesn't work); cramped, dark, and stuffy rooms. The hostel is located about a 15-20 minute walk from the Seville Cathedral and Alcázar. The owners are friendly but not particularly helpful in terms of travel/public transport info.
I'm well travelled and in my opinion this has to be the best hostel for solo travellers. The staff are incredibly friendly. There is always someone to speak with, whether it's breakfast or dinner time. Free breakfast and dinner. There is also a free walking tour and pub crawl. You just cant go wrong in this place!
I stayed in Babel Hostel Sevilla recently and wanted to review it on TripAdvisor but could not find it. I stumbled across this hostel listing and it has the same address and the photos look like a differently-modeled version of our Babel Hostel. Definitely the same layout and location. I assume it's changed ownership or at least branding recently. Very good hostel. We stayed in a four-bed dorm but my buddy and I had the room to ourselves most of the visit. Nice lockers and bedding, and the bathrooms were nice and clean as well. The wifi was admittedly pretty awful though, even though they had four possible access networks. Not a party hostel, but the amenities were all around good and the staff were pretty friendly. Not the most memorable hostel but definitely a positive and enjoyable experience!…
