A friend highly recommended Santa Isabel La Real (HSILR) and that choice shaped our first visit to Spain. (We decided to stay in small inns with traditional courtyard patios—good choice.) It really set the tone for our first visit to Granada. Even before we arrived, the staff was incredibly warm and helpful as we made our travel plans. (They’ll book... More

Staying here was the most memorable time of our trip in Spain. Every nook and corner is a delight here. It's one of the few places where even the 'Management photos' of tripadviser doesn't do justice to the real place. Girls at the reception(sorry i forgot your names) were pleasant and lovely to talk to. They were extremely helpful whether... More

You could stay elsewhere but you would miss a real Spanish treat. You will need to be quick-witted to drive to the hotel along narrow cobbled streets and its off-street car park (with enough space outside the gate to pull over and let following cars past) but the map on their website is very good. Location is great as the... More

My wife and I stayed here and spent 3 wonderful nights in this hotel. It is very well located but near the top of a steep hillside. Very conveniently near the C1 bus stop which can be a central mode of transportation. The hotel is warm and friendly. We booked it because of the Tripadvisor rating and were not disappointed.... Great location in old part of town. 9 min. walk to Plaza Nueva for our Alhambra tour meeting point. Cathedral just 2 min. from this plaza. Good restaurants at Plaza Nueva or at small plaza 2 min. from hotel. Very close to Mirador de San Nicolas for good view of Alhambra. Hotel also on a local bus stop. Buses can... More

I was a little surprised about finding this hotel on a narrow street on the hilly hillside opposite the Alhambra, and I would have NEVER found it on my own with a car even with GPS I'm afraid. (I would have been frankly a little worried about even driving there, and there was some sort of gate that the taxi... More

The Moorish building and the Albayzin location gave the hotel a local feel. The room we had was fairly big on the second floor facing the courtyard. The room was quiet but kind of spartan. The hotel is very close to the St. Nicholas square and the C1 bus is right outside of the hotel. We stayed here 3 nights.... More

With the help of a detailed map provided by Santa Isabel La Real from their website, we were to somehow able drive the narrow and twisting streets and arrive at the Hotel, which is located deep within the Albayzin’s ancient streets. We found the staff to be very accommodating, assisting with our parking needs, arranging taxi service and always available... More

Little more can be said about this relaxing small hotel in the heart of the Albazyn. Instead - I will highlight what I enjoyed most: - The location is ideal. Along a great street with a collection of restaurants at one end, and San Nicolas lookout at the other. Less than 10 minute walk downhill to the rest of busy... More

Santa Isabel la Real is in a wonderful location within the Old City of Granada, however it took us 45 minutes and the help of a local shop keeper to find it in spite of their directions and our GPS. If we didn't have a rental car (which was parked in a nearby garage the entire stay), that we used... More
