After staying here I can see why this place is top rated. Everything is spotlessly clean and well organized. Jose welcomes you by giving you lots of personalized information written on a map. His recommendations are good, but we were unable to go to two restaurants because they were fully booked. A waitress said the restaurants have been very busy since the post covid vaccinations have greatly increased tourism starting during the last week of August. Hostal Rodri was closed for 17 months, just opening at the beginning of August. Everything in the previous posts is true- Jose is a wonderful proprietor/host and goes out of his way to make sure you have a good stay. Hostal Rodri was built from the ground up just 12 years ago, so everything is new and well designed, including an elevator. I don’t think you will be disappointed if you are lucky enough to book a room here.

Pension Rodri was a cute little place. What stood out for me was the manager/owner, Jose. Although he typically didn’t reply to guest’s special check-in requests sent by Booking.com, he was very charming and helpful in person. He took time to answer questions and he made great restaurant recommendations. The cleaning staff also did a great job in keeping the place clean and attractive. There was a lift so no need to worry about hauling your bags up the stairs. The WiFi worked okay. The place was located in a quiet area next to Plaza Trinidad and is about 7 minutes’ walk to the Cathedral of Granada. The only very minor negative I had was with the comforter/ bedspread. It felt very heavy on me!

1. If there’s 100 stars, I’ll definitely rate 100 points for them. 2. Very friendly and helpful. They gave me a detailed map with every kinds of informations about tourist attractions and where to eat, what to do, they know pretty much about everything, I got answers for all the questions. Thank you. 3. The flamenco dinner show they recommended was super amazing! The foods were nice too. And I even got a 2 euros discount booking with them. 4. I’m extremely sorry that I didn’t notice they have closing time for the hostel so I left my bags in the reception until 12am, I’m so sorry for that. They told me I can keep the bags until midnight, but if I knew they have closing time, I wouldn’t bother them so much. Thank you for helping me and sorry. 5. I’ve been to 50+ countries and had stayed in more than 100 places, this was the only 10 stars that I’ve given out so far. 6. The location is wonderful, 5-10 mins walk to the cathedral (city center) and easy to find everything you need in the area. Restaurants, supermarkets, tourist attractions, shopping, everything is just so close by. And the hostel itself located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. 7. The room was comfortable to stay and with thoughtful equipments. 8. Definitely valued for the money and I think my stays were beyond what I’d paid. The only word to describe is PERFECT! 9. If I would have chance to come back to Granada again, I won’t look for other places to stay for sure. 10. Hope you guys doing well and have many more customers to come!

A sweet little pension, situated a stone's throw away from the main cathedrals, in one lane of a maze of pretty little streets that zig-zag around old town. The staff were very friendly and took a lot of time to explain things to us, down to vegetarian tapas and restaurants. Never mind that we were just checking in and tired, we decided to stay and listen :) The room and bathroom were clean and compact and serviced well each day. Perfect to explore the area.

This was our third time at Rodri. It is always lovely. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, with wonderful service from Jose, and located in the perfect place for breakfasts in Plaza Trinidad or the Bib-Rambla. Excellent value for money.
