I stayed here with my family and it was amazing! The rooms were very nice and clean. The location grants a more local experience of the area too! There is a nice view of the Alhambra and very tasty, homemade traditional Spanish breakfast. The customer service was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! I would highly recommend staying here if visiting Granada.
Lovely property situated in a quiet street in a choice spot in the Albaicin: three minute walk to several buses (including a regular shuttle to Alhambra which, anyway, is in easy walking distance) as well as to other good sites and restaurants. Friendly, charming, responsive, helpful and well-informed staff ensured a happy atmosphere. Good breakfasts. Parking is available close by but make sure to follow carefully the access instructions you will be given: driving in that area is not for the nervous. A minor criticism is that the bedroom we had is of modest size.
A nice hotel with good location and a serviceminded staff. Nice breakfast too. But why this hotel offer a so bad mattress we cannot understand. Old and worn, the bed springs wanted to leave the mattress. Neither pillows filled with terrible foam rubber pieces is understandable. We had two nights with bad sleep, and will not come back.
My husband and I just got back from our trip to Portugal and Spain, and we stayed at Posada de Quijada for our 3 day stay in Granada. We found the hotel to be excellent in every sense. The place itself is cute as can be-the room we stayed in was very well decorated with new fixtures and interiors. The hot water and water pressure were excellent! The best part was the hospitality and the breakfast each morning. Upon arrival the staff gave us a number of recommendations and tips on Granada. Each morning we got a delicious, abundant homemade breakfast. The first morning the menu included fresh bread, tortilla española, fresh orange juice, seasonal jams, coffee, tea, and a sweet breakfast bread/cake. The second day was similar except for we had a cheese tray in place of the tortilla. Staff will accommodate dietary preferences/needs—just let them know. The breakfast is served in the lower level—and the fireplace was going, which was great because it was pretty chilly and rainy in Granada when we were there. Also, our last night in Granada we had dinner at Posada—they will cook for you for other meals if you request ahead of time (for an additional cost of course). We had a delicious pumpkin soup, and I had a vegetable quiche. My husband had a pork dish the he really enjoyed. The staff get seasonal vegetables and fruits from the local area, and the pumpkin and leek soup seasonal delight! In fact I made a note to try to replicate this recipe at home. Overall we just loved staying here. It’s about a 5 minute walk down to the main square and close to everything, in addition to being a delightful place to stay with wonderful, welcoming staff. If we go back to Granada, we will be back for sure! …
This is a tiny hotel in a tiny street (too small for cars) in a maze of alleys that make for stiff walking. But what a wonderful, personal, charming welcome! The food is excellent - don't miss Ainhoa's home-cooked dinner. There is even an in-house golden retriever! This is a place where you are immediately on first-name terms with everyone, hosts, guests and the dog too. We were utterly charmed and will remember our stay for ever. Absolutely recommended.
