We booked this hotel because it was very close from the Alhambra, and indeed we needed only 5mns walk to get there; hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, we got our room quite early and the room was spacious clean and quiet. Breakfast good, about 20mns walk to get to the centre which is no problem to go but more difficult to come back. (I advise to get a cab back..)
We stayed at the Aurea Washington Irving for two nights while we visited Granada and the Alhambra. The Alhambra was within easy walking distance, but the walk to the City was quite a bit longer including a long uphill section for the return. Both the Hotel restaurant and our room were excellent and met or exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is by a valet. We didn't need to move our car during our entire visit.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast and three minutes walk to Alhambra. We used the hotel/park option where the hotel parks your car for you as part of the hotel rate. It worked out nicely as part of the trade-off being so close the the Alhambra is most hotels don’t have their own parking and driving around to find the hotel can be tough if you don’t have detail directions (and you still must drive SLOW to find it!). Walking from hotel and back to the Granada old town and central areas are a breeze, 15 mins each way - lit up at night, it’s through a park and a beautiful walk
I will not return to this hotel or recommend as we have been let down by the staff. On the second day of our stay the housekeeping staff took my white nightwear off the radiator with the towels. We spoke to reception who made calls to the laundry company while we were there and they could not locate it. I had to buy nightwear on my holiday to replace it at my own cost and when we got home we sent many emails and made many calls to see if it had been found. I tried for about 6 weeks and gave up. The nightwear was a gift for my wedding so I was particularly upset and disappointed. The hotel offered me no compensation and on no occasion did they proactively contact me to give me any updates despite it being their error. Next time we go to Granada I will not stay here again, the staff and company do not care about their guests enough.…
Really good hotel - clean, well maintained and great breakfast included. Our room had a view of the Alhambra which was lovely! The style was a little business-orientated for a vacation but it had all the amenities. The only thing to note is that, while just across the street from the Alhambra, the hotel is around a 20 minute walk to the centre where all the restaurants are. There is a straight path to the centre through a well lit park area which is handy but it is on an incline on the way back from the centre. Not sure of taxi price but I image it would be a short journey by car. Overall very happy, just to bear in mind!
It took about 2 hours to reach This hotel from Malaga airport by car. Located just across the Palace of Alhambra, at the walking distance to the main entrance of this famous palace. We were greeted very warmly by The front desk staff, it felt extremely welcoming. Bedroom has comfortable king size bed, with 2 french balconies overlooking red brick walls of Alhambra and the stone street below. The wooden interior and the color scheme in the room are combined to create that warm and relaxing feeling. I personally love the bathroom area, which is decided into 3 sections. 1st section The open area where the sinks are, devided by a glass door entering 2nd section where the bathtub is, then another glass door to the shower and separate wc. Breakfast is held at the main dining area in shifts. As part of the COVID-19 regulations of social distancing. From the hotel, one can walk down to the city Centre of Granada through the lush woods, which borders with Alhambra. It is about 15-20 min. I enjoyed this walk so much. Will certainly stay at the same hotel, if I happen to make another visit to Granada.…
I would struggle to find any fault with the hotel it is set in quiet surroundings just metres away from the walls of the Alhambra. My partner enjoys running in the mornings so having the parks around the Alhambra just on the doorstep is ideal. The bar and lobby area is very comfortably furnished and the staff were all very professional and helpful. The room was a good size, quiet and tastefully decorated. It is a short uphill walk from the city through the Alhambra park. The way is lined with benches and fountains and if you can’t manage it in one go there are many places to sit and rest. There are plenty of public transport options to get back to the hotel too though after an evening of tapas and wine the walk back to the hotel feels like a benefit rather than a chore.
Why you should stay here. 1) Very close to Alhambra 2) Valet parking 3) Friendly staff 4) Dressing gown and slippers in the room 5) Cleanliness good Why I won’t stay again 1) NH and Melia are better and cheaper and located right in the city where all the restaurants, bars and shops are and still only €5 from Alhambra by taxi 2) Dressing gowns thread bare. 3) Poor selection of house wines in the bar. 4) Breakfast poor (for the price) 5) Noisy room made for a bad nights sleep
Great modern hotel 5 min walking form Alhambra and 15 min walking from city center. Also we'll connected with city center and Alabacin with C30 and C32 routes. Hotel rooms are modern, well-equipped and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is not huge, however surprisingly you will find everything you need made from high-quality products. Eggs cooked just for you are a great addition to it (my ham and cheese omlete was perfect) Staff is very nice and helpful.
Very nice hotel in quiet location next to Al Hambra. Had very good meal in restaurant thoroughly recommend having a meal here. Spacious rooms with good service. It is a pleasant 10 minute walk through gardens downhill to centre of town but harder work returning. Although we walked there appeared to be plenty of taxis that were inexpensive if feeling lazy.
