A brilliant small hotel hotel in a great location not far from anything we wanted to visit! We had an amazing room on the 4th floor with a view of the Alahambra above, it was quite spectacular! The staff were friendly and very helpful with very good restaurant / tapas recommendations! The room was large with a very comfortable bed and an amazing picture window and at a very reasonable cost! Wouldn't hesitate t recommend it!
The hotel is on a main thoroughfare leading into the square so if you choose a front room it was at certain times noisy As it is a small hotel with seven rooms it only has daytime reception cover As the location is in the trough of two hillsides one the old residential town the other Alhambra there is not a great deal of sunlight The room was a little sterile and the decor dull with dark furniture not great when there is little light in the room Your taxi can deliver you directly to the entry of this centuries old establishment There is a view of Alhambra even if you need to standby windows view it The room is very spacious with all what you need facilities and amenities wise The upper floor is accessed by a lift Even though breakfast was not included or available there a number of places nearby where you can choose what you have and when including the ground floor of the hotel…
This hotel was clean and comfortable and is in a beautiful and conveniently located building near the Plaza Nueva. It looks up the hill to the Alhambra (but I wouldn’t try to walk the hill). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My asterisk is for the following: 1) the wi-fi is spotty and not reliable, which sucks if you need a good connection for work; 2) there is a central lobby, but it is not set up for working, is busy and echo-y, and in November, super cold; 3) we were in a front facing room and the window is poorly installed with no real caulking or sealing. There is a constant draft and worse, it lets in all the street noise and this is a busy street. I really think the hotel is a 3.5 stars—not “very good” per TA’s ratings but also not “average” under TA’s ratings, but just “good.”…
Located by the Carrera del Darro and in the Albayzin quarter of the city, the hotel is a nice one. It appears to be a reconverted casa. Its location is good for touring. Reception is on the main floor and the rooms on two floors above. There is an elevator. If you are driving, all I can say is good luck and hopefully you will miss holidays and weekends to get a parking spot at San Martin for which there is a discount. River rooms have a modest view of the Alhambra. The regular rooms are modest in size; the superior rooms, ample. The front door to the hotel and your room are opened by the same key. There is not someone at reception 7/24 so check-in time has to be roughly provided in advance. The public area décor is modest but tasteful; the general woodwork, excellent. It is in a quiet area of town ie away from bars. Did not have breakfast at the hotel. Leave the 'No molestar' card on the door if you don't want the maid in.…
What a gem! Booked 3 nights here. Lovely boutique hotel in Arab quarter overlooking Alhambra palace. Rooms are light and airy with the best view (booking a superior double is a must). Lovely little bar opposite across bridge and left out of hotel takes you to a lovely plaza with plenty of choice of eateries. Highly recommended.
