Picked up this deal on lastminute.com (£23 pppn half board). **Location** The hotel is located in La Carihuela and is ideal for the beach (20 metres). Perfect for walking on the Paseo de Maritimo east to Torremelinos (25 minutes) or west to Benalmadena (15 minutes). Plenty of fab places to eat and drink along the way. **Rooms** We stayed on...

Stayed here with my parents in mid March. Found the hotel unwelcoming, staff unfriendly and food not great...pool is very small and would hate to see it during peak season..The rooms are fine - clean & no complaints there...location is very good but thats about all...Bar prices very expensive - €7.50 Carlos Primera Brandy whereas it was €4.30 in Las...

The hotel has been renovated over the last few years and looks in good shape. The room we were offered was well located on the fifth floor with a balcony and sea views. It was a spacious room with 2 large single beds-now I know why it's a roc hotel, 2 chairs and a small table. The bathroom was adequate...

Just back from two weeks at Lago Rojo. Hotel is perfectly situated for beach and shopping, but is far enough away from the centre to avoid late night noise. The staff were hard working and we found them very amiable, it is amazing what a simple ' hola' or 'buenos dias' will achieve, much like 'please' and 'thank you' at...

We spent 4 nights at the Roc Lago Rojo, and found it ideal. We had our own air con which was a plus, as I find most spanish hotels are too hot for us europeans in the winter! Food was more than adequate a good selection and the staff friendly. The hotel was about a 30 second walk from the...

Been going to La Carihuela for last 20 years and usually stay self catering in the village, but due to pound/euro rate, decided to try the half board option at Lago Rojo. Booked a junior suite with pool view but allocated a recently renovated room on fifth floor overlooking Carihuela Park/Palace complex. Nice balcony and afternoon/evening sun so decided to...
