We were looking forward to our September visit to the hotel. We booked before the coronavirus pandemic and thought there might be some flexibility from the management when it became evident that travel wouldn't be possible on our dates. We asked for a possible transfer of our booking perhaps to 2021 but no - because we booked on a prepaid rate this was not possible. I know times are difficult but the lack of flexibility means that financially there is a big hit.
I make a reservation and canceled it and the hotel took ages to refund it. After several months and tons of e-mails and phone calls i've got my refund. Was ridiculous and uncomfortable, i never will make another reservation in that hotel or another from Rituals.
Unfortunately I have to report an unpleasant episode that happened at the swimming pool on the terrace of the Ritual Torremolinos ... We had beers for a couple of days at the terrace bar ... on the last day, almost by chance, talking with friends for dinner we discovered that at the same bar, the same beers have always paid 2 euros less than us! ... this means that the guy who works at the bar got the "tip" on the drink .... he did it with us and probably with other customers as well ... this is extremely unpleasant and unfair, considering also that the Ritual Hotel is very expensive and the service is not up to par. Nevermore!!!
Visited the hotel in august 2020 and found it mediocre. When you arrive, the hotel looks a bit dated. After staying 3 nights I can confirm that it could use a refurbishment. Walls in the hotelroom did have some fresh paint, paint splatters are everywhere. Bathrooms and furniture are exhausted. The mattresses were very hard and the pillows very flat / insufficient. Also there were no complimentary water bottles upon arrival. The hotel may be clearly outdated, it is clean, both the public spaces and the hotel room. Also the staff is very friendly. With this hotel it’s all about the location and vibe. When you’re LGBTI like me, it is still the place to stay. Especially if you want to meet new people. This hotel must have had some bad experiences with guests over the years. It radiates mistrust. You have to pay lots of deposits. For each beach towel €10 (not included in the room), for the key to the parking €10 (outdated system without license plate recognition), for the key to the elevator to the beach another €10. And you have to pay it in cash. Why not block an amount on my credit card? You also have to wear a strap on your wrist at all times, which I found very uncomfortable. Would I stay here again? Maybe. But only to experience the beach and nightlife outside of Covid-19 time. And I will bring my own pillows. …
The worst 3* hotel in Spain ! The floor of my room was not cleaned for 3 days ! I asked 3 times to clean my room. The room was smelly ( Awfull wet smell)... I've asked to change of room, but they din't have any free room ! Even if the hotek was not full at all. The breakfast is very simple and not really good... Bad fruits, fat industrial croissant & cakes. Acid Orange juice. The people at the reception speak barely English. Very bad experience. To put a Gay Flag doesn't mean quality or good service. Never more !
