The RIU Hotel Torremolinos is a great hotel, ideal for a family holiday! We had a lovely time here. Firstly, the location is fantastic! Right across the road from the beach, you get the choice of a beach day or a pool day. There are watersports activities on the beach too (jet ski, banana boat, pedalo). Lots of local shops around up the board walk sea front and some restaurants if you aren’t all inclusive. Ladies that do hair braiding are also on the board work, and for the kids a trampoline park. The hotel itself is great. Bedrooms are clean and modern, with a fridge and plenty of free bottled water laid out on the bar to take and put in your fridge. The cleaners are so sweet!!! They work so hard and always smile and say good morning! Balcony overlooking the sea and street, the perfect size to sit and have a drink. There is a great selection of food in the hotels restaurants. There is the main buffet restaurant and then a choice of Asian, Spanish and Italian restaurants which you can book. I highly recommend booking these! All the food is labelled with allergen information which we found excellent as our daughter is allergic to peanuts. The staff were fantastic at accommodating her and lovely to her! Their knowledge on allergies was excellent and I was able to lean over the cooking stations and ask the chefs as they cooked if food was safe and they had no problem chatting to me - thank you!! The restaurants can be very busy, but we always got a table. The waiting staff are lovely!! They are so accommodating, thank you for the lovely service in the restaurants! A lovely mix of international guests stay here - British, Spanish, French and German mostly - lovely to see lots of different nationalities here! The staff at this hotel are incredible. Every single person has a smile on their face, and is friendly, approachable and couldn’t do enough to help. Every person was delightful, huge thank you for being so lovely everybody!! The entertainment team work so hard, a great group of young people who are the life and soul of the party and give it their all to make sure you have fun with all of the activities. Special thank you to Adolfo (our favourite), Guri, Joel and Brian! Adolfo is so funny and lovely, he is a wonderful spirit at the hotel, always laughing and being fun! Brian’s water aerobics are the best!! There are 3 pools - I highly recommend the main big pool as the others are more for younger kids. Now onto the matter of sunbeds! There is no mad ‘rush’ for sun beds, but the gates open at 7.30am for people to reserve beds (even though the sign says pool doesn’t open until 9am, the gates open 7.30am!), so you need to come down and get one between 7.30am-8.30am if you want one. If you want a front row place round the pool then you need to be down at 7am and queue for 30 minutes until the gates open because at this hotel there are queuing people!! Just get down to the pool before 8.30am to reserve yourself a bed! There is a really lovely lifeguard there everyday also. There is a mini disco at this hotel 8.30pm-9pm which was excellent! Also there is Riuland kids club, we sent our daughter there with all of her medication and they were incredible!! They listened, understood and told us they will take care of her and call us if needed. They did painting, face painting and pool activities with them. She really enjoyed it. The hotel has a lovely vibe, guests are respectful and it’s definitely a place to come with families! The beautiful view of the ocean from the pool really adds to how great this place is. Here are a few things I think they could improve to make it 5/5 on here for me: 1. Let the entertainment team sing with their own voices, stop making them mime to backing singing voices that aren’t theirs, they are fantastic dancers, let them sing instead of using that same backing track of fake voices. 2. Add ice creams to snack bar, there’s no ice cream for kids unless you go sit down for lunch. 3. Invest in some more adhoc stuff, for example, a couple of pool tables or table tennis tables and a play ground - they don’t have any of these things - these would be a one-off cost for RIU and they could make the money back by charging €1 to people to use it. I would pay to use these facilities. 4. Please stop putting out giant bowls of peanuts at the bar. This is one of the worst things people are allergic to, and having them out in a giant bowl put our daughter at huge risk. It’s an old fashion tradition of peanuts out on a bar and with a hotel with kids I think it shouldn’t happen. Thank you RIU for a lovely stay and a great holiday, and to all of the staff here, you are all really amazing, hardworking people.

Hotel's Favourite
We booked a 5 day stay here as our previous visit to this was cut short due to restrictions in Spain, It was an all inclusive relaxing few days by the poolside and nearby beach areas. Amador and Mario at reception were very helpful. We were upgraded for free to a suite. Victor the handyman came quickly to fix the safe which was faulty , Bed was extremely comfortable ,food was good quality and varied. We will return.

Just had a fabulous time at Riu Costa del Sol. Great hotel, friendly staff, clean and good sized rooms with good aircon. All the food was fantastic, self service beer and wine at poolside was great. Great entertainment. Everything was perfect. Location on beach front was lovely for quick access for a dip in the sea and a drink in the local bars.

We stayed in beginning of August 2022 . Hotel is clean. Rooms are average. Spacious showers in bathrooms. Very close to beach. Staff is very friendly. Good entertainment. BUT All six of us didn't like the food. At the first sight looks like a big selection of food, but the quality of it is very disappointing. All of us were struggling to find something tasty. the hotel has got a buffet and 3 restaurants. We had to go to only one Italian restaurant where food was better, but menu was the same every day. We had to go out to restaurants in town. Wine and beer tested like they were diluted and there wasn't an option to purchase better drinks as hotel is "All inclusive" and they don't sell any . I will not come back to this hotel again.

I would just like to say that me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. And it was the best holiday we have had abroad. Our room was by the back end of the hotel which was over looking the pool and Pepes food bar. We were very happy with the room. Spacious and always clean, and a nice balcony view of the pool area. The hotel was the cleanest that we have ever stayed at. The cleaners and staff work very hard to keep guests happy. Very polite and kind people. The food there was always a good variety of choice which we enjoyed. And good drinks. Especially the strawberry daiquiri which was my favourite. We also loved the area of Torremolinos. Right near the beach, and loads to go to in the area. I will not understand how there are the odd bad reviews for this hotel, as we absolutely loved being there. We will be booking soon to go back next year. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel.

Amazing hotel been twice now and have rebooked again. The cleanliness is spot on and the staff cannot do enough for you. Only shame is the sunbed reservers meaning if you want a sunbed you have set your alarm. Would definitely recommend this hotel over and over again

What an amazing week we had at the RUI Costa Del Sol. This was our first family holiday abroad with our 19 month old daughter, and the hotel couldn't be more accommadating. The room was clean and spacious and we had a pool view which was nice in the evening when we had a drink on the balcony. The only downside was that we were above the bar which had a live musician most nights. This would be great for a couple, but not for a family trying to get their child to bed at night. The Food is mainly buffet throughout the restaurants, however in the Italian you choose your main course at the table. The food was varied and delicious every day. So many choices and it was always hot and replenished regularly. There are plenty of bars dotted around the complex with a wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks. Lemon Fanta is always on tap which is a great shout on holiday, and all the alcohol were branded and good quality. Although not listed on the drinks menu, I'd recommend asking for a Mojito as they were spot on! The entertainment throughout the day included volleyball, water football, darts and aerobics. The evening entertaining included live singers, dancers and the hotel entertainers whom danced and mimed to songs. I'd recommend to get a table early as it filled up quickly. Overall the entertainment was good, but not the best I have seen on holiday. Staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful, and we're particularly nice to our daughter which was nice. I couldn't fault anyone there. I would definitely recommend this holiday to families and those with young children. Thank you for having us RUI Costa Del Sol!

Hotel staff very good and helpful. You can easily see that the hotel have tried to save money in the current climate, which is fine but not when you are still charging top dollar for the holiday. I must have drank literally 20 large amaretto and coke one night and was sober as a judge. Because of this, people were constantly queuing for drinks all night. the cocktails weren’t really cocktails, they were those icy slush things. All restaurants were buffet style, which I don’t mind. A lot of the meat was processed, and all of the vegetables were extremely over cooked and greasy. Seafood paella was on most nights, with about 5 king prawns in the whole thing, so the first person who got to it, had all of the prawns, then that was it. For some reason, hotels like this struggle with dessert. All cheap brought in puddings. A couple of home made local puddings is all that is needed and people would love it. The food that was available between restaurant opening times was again cheap deep fried rubbish. No ice creams available for the kids, not even to purchase. Rooms were fine and clean, no issues there. Pools areas were good but had the usual problems with people coming down at 6am to reserve sun beds. Evening entertainment was hit and miss with some good nights and some not so good.
