Hotel's Favourite
Our first family holiday and we were not disappointed.
Location is fab right beside the beach and close to the market square.
Yes the check in at the hotel was a little slow but the reception staff were lovely and couldn’t be of more help. Big shout out to Jamie who helped resolved a room issue very quickly!
The hotel was very clean, credit to housekeeping and all the public areas. Shame some of the guests couldn’t be more thoughtful and put their rubbish in the bin 🙄
Restaurant food was fresh and plentiful. Many different choices to choose from daily. The staff again were courteous and efficient with drink service and clearing down
Kids club- what can I say these guys are fab! They really get involved with each of the children and have so much energy! Different activities were put on daily but it’s the staff the make it!
3 pools to choose from and a kids area which is brilliant. Only downside it people putting towels on loungers all day and not using them, very inconsiderate.
Entertainment at night was fine depends on what you are looking for, most nights after the mini disco we went to bed.
All in all we had a wonderful family holiday in this hotel! We would definitely consider coming back again.

Wonderful hotel, excellently equipped for the present covid 19 pandemic situation, social distancing is well accommodated by the large Caribbean style pool, with the sun loungers marked out in bays, and hand sanitiser is strategically placed around the whole complex. The food is to a good standard although with a one-way system it is difficult at times to carefully select your options, chefs and waiters very attentive, tables and chairs again marked out for social distance. At the bar you will be attentively looked after by the staff and entertained by ‘Pedro’, whose brother Miguel works alongside him, the shows on the stage every evening were very professional and entertaining. I did have an issue one night at the bar but after speaking to the hotel manager Juan Antonio was delighted when he acted swiftly to remedy the situation. The reception was busy but staff were always courteous special mention to Angela who was most hang helpful when we arrived, in general staff went out of their way to be pleasant. There were many things that impressed the location, for example across the road the splendid Playamar Beach with some remarkable and inexpensive seafood beach restaurants. The food in the hotel often included a different pie paella dish, the cuttlefish in its ink was fabulous, I was also impressed with the establishment of foot pedestals for the fruit juice machines. If you fancy a day out to Malaga you can get taxi to the nearby La Colina rail station and every 20 mins there is a train directly into the City Centre.

Spent 5 days here with our family a group of 7, upon arrival when we arrived at reception the receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
We were located on different floors of the hotel but asked if w could get rooms nearer to each other an this wasn’t a problem at all for the staff.
The rooms are good size for two people we stayed in a xtra sew view room which had two single beds, fridge which had drinks stocked inside. Also left for us was robes, flip flops, beach towels/bag and toiletries.
Plenary of towels for our stay and rooms were cleaned an stocked each day.
The room also has a Bluetooth speak an balcony with table and chairs they were very clean and the beds were comfortable rooms also had air conditioning.
The hotel is absolutely huge inside with so many things to do from kids arcade area to Hairdressers and Beauty Centre (manicure, pedicure, massages and the fish spa which was only €12
Entertainment at night was great.
Bar staff in the in/out bar were very friendly the service was excellent!
There’s lots of outdoor pools which were unfortunately closed when we’re stayed which was a little disappointing as the weather was fantastic for February.
But the indoor pool was great too.
The variety of food was excellent so much to choose from an the dining areas are huge. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
This hotel is just across the road from the beach, views are stunning I loved watching the sunset come up every morning from out balcony.
I honestly can’t fault this hotel and we will definitely be back again.

Just returned from sol principe .We booked extra sea view room .On arrival beautiful hotel check in fast and our room was ready as we arrived early . Dressing gowns flip flops free N/A drinks daily toiletries razor toothbrushes etc . Blutooth speaker Very clean almost perfect .Day 2 of our stay more people arrived dining hall very loud and busy .Not much choice for me as im fussy anyway but had spag bol so i had something . Day 2 requested fan as room very hot at night . Day 3 and 4 more people arrived by the bus loads .Still no fan . Day 5 i had a episode in the dining hall triggered by noise they was running out of room and the dining hall is huge . We went to ask about room service for food due and told there was a quieter dining area by the indoor pool .Much much better and better quality food but for fried bread and beans still not worth it really lol. Could not sit in entertainment area the noise was horrendous the lake pool area looks stunning but down by the dining area was very off putting .Still no fan .We had a lovely holiday but the amount of people arrived had certainly put us off alot were rude and most middle aged barely saw any kids and them that was were well behaved .Staff were pleasant .I would love to go bk with my own teens as they would love it but if feb was over run i dread to think wat the kids julyn./aug would be like .Wish we went bed and breakfast now and ate out in eve .Would have rated 5 stars had it not been for all the people .Even receptionist said they was fully booked and holds over 2000.Felt like was in army refugee camp at dinner lol.Drinks was 2.80 for a small kids size drink

Just returned from a lovely relaxing break at Sol Principe. Having read mixed reviews about the hotel, I went with an open mind hoping to be on the receiving end of the more positive experience, lol.
Check in was swift and efficient and we were allocated 2 rooms next to each other overlooking the main pool area. Rooms were clean and adequately furnished. Beds comfy and plenty of wardrobe space. No kettle or tea making facilities so we asked for a kettle and it was promptly brought at no extra charge. En-suite was well equipped and room slightly dated but all functioned well. Maid service was first class too.
The buffet dining room was large and well set out with lots of tables. Even when it was busy we were still able to get seated without delay. Plenty of appetising choice to be had. I had read reviews of lukewarm and monotonous repetitive food options so was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety available. Lots of fresh fish, meats, salads, veggies and fruits. Spoilt for choice really! Personal favourites were the veggie lasagne and the aubergine parmigiana, so good. An impressive range of desserts too for an all inclusive. We NEVER went hungry or made to eat elsewhere! Breakfasts were also extensive and fresh omelettes, pancakes and churros were available as well as the usual ‘full English’ and pastries. (Whole meal croissants were too good!) Drinks service we found to be a little sporadic. May I suggest water dispenser/fountains for self service guests use? It would be much appreciated! And better for the planet than all those bottles/cans!
The swimming pool areas were particularly attractive. Beautiful lagoon style pools with built in jacuzzis. Towels were available at a €10 deposit which was good as had zero free weight to bring our own! Shame the pool wasn’t a tad warmer! However, it was only April!
WiFi was very strong throughout the resort which was a massive plus especially with 2 Uni student daughters in our group!
For a really inexpensive week away, the Sol Principe really did exceed all our expectations. The staff work incredibly hard. We would certainly revisit but request a bit more sunshine next time please!

We booked this in February and the reviews were amazing at that time. Due to covid, and holidays still being cancelled with tour operators i put this holiday out of my mind. 3 weeks prior to holiday yeah its defo happening so revisited reviews and was horrified to the point of nearly cancelling. The reviews were more bad than good, so I was really anxious.
Reception when we arrived at 11am was good, room not ready but check in isn't officially till 3pm so that was ok. Room was twin to sleep 3. Couldn't swing a cat in it, very small but it was clean, air con noisy and puffed out little cool air, towels changed daily, maid service daily, realistically not spending time in the room so put up with it.
Big feature of the hotel is the large pool, which we visited twice due to the chaos of sunbed situation. Not gonna get stressed about it cos nice pool at back and sea/beach behind that.
We were half board and thank God we were. We do normally do all inclusive but the price difference was 700 quid!!! As below reviews suggest go to brekkie prior to 9am, go to tea prior to 8.15pm and you'll avoid the stress of this overcrowded situation. I'm veggie and options are poor and when they did have options the food was tepid, this is an issue with the trays which I think the hotel may address. Some food is not prepared on site as I witnessed the sliced fruit being taken out of a plastic sealed container.
Get to entertainment 8.30 to 9pm and you'll get a seat.
Entertainment was good, the team work hard with beach parties, shows, mini disco they are trying to cater for the variety of guests they have They have sit off areas playing live music, sports bar etc.
All staff in this hotel work so hard they are a credit to it. The hotel is just too big/overcrowded for its facilities, ie bar areas, pools, entertainment areas and dining areas. It does feel overcrowded and maybe lost its stars as it isn't focused on what it wants. Half board, all inclusive, who it wants to cater to ie families, couples, Spanish, English etc.
I stayed in 4 star all inclusive in rhodes at the end of July, smaller hotel and it felt more of a enjoyable relaxing holiday. More personal. This hotel is not 4 star based on peoples experiences. I did enjoy my time here, but the environment of this hotel can be manic at times so we just made sure we gaged everything based on our times. Wouldn't stay here again.
Torreleminos itself was amazing. The location of the hotel is near bars, shops, other night life. Beach activities like pedalos and paddle boarding

We stayed for 4 nights from 10 to 14 February half board. Hotel has an excellent location opposite the beach.
We had a partial sea view and the room was very clean. Balcony had 2 chairs and a table, room has table, one chair, desk, lots of wardrobe space, unstocked fridge, and a safe that's available at a cost.
Excellent bathroom facilities, shaving mirror, hairdryer etc, along with plenty of towels.
Rooms also have a large tv (not smart). Like the rest of the hotel functional rather than pretty, better to be used than viewed if that makes sense, but this of course a 4 and not 5 star hotel.
When we arrived we were told we could choose daily between having lunch and dinner, which was a good option to have available. However we stuck to dinners in the hotel and lunches out.
We felt that the food available was above standard for a 4 star. Evening meals would include 3 choices of fish, 3 choices of meat, different vegetable, potato and rice options, as well as all the usual salad, cheese etc. There was also paella available daily, as well as pasta and pizza, but I would say the latter two were more for young kids than adults.
A couple of the evening dishes we had (cuttlefish and veal) I would have been very happy to pay decent money for in a very good restaurant.I would suggest that that you starter options will be come more difficult as you time there progresses as seemed to basically be tuna, mackeral l, salad, egg etc.
Wine was between €12.50 and €20.00 a bottle, the mid range ones were very good.
Desserts were decent too, but perhaps an over reliance on cheesecake.
I though the breakfast choice was excellent and would cater for all tastes. Prosecco is also available, and on some days omlettes are pancakes were cooked to order.
There was 2 for 1 happy hour in the bar 530-630, cocktails and lamumbas about €5.00-6.00.
Theres a large supermarket not far from the entrance where you can buy your toiletries and fridge fillers.
10 minute walk to the main part of town, and plenty of restaurants closer than that.
As another reviewer mentioned the hotel did get very busy. This was noticeable as although the hotel is very large, not all the bars restaurants were open. But we had no problem, finding a table for breakfast or dinner or getting a drink at the bar.
We would certainly consider going again, and I would recommend this to anyone who asks, we both gave this hotel full Mark's.

We stayed here w/c 19/01/2020, and stayed in one of the beach facing rooms. However, little did we know that one of the worst storms to hit the Costa’s was to strike the week we were there. The check in staff were fantastic, helpful, informative and attentive. The room was first class, although it’s position facing the beach would be an issue (Storm Gloria), more on that later. Anyway, all the staff were great and even when I witnessed a really embarrassing situation in which one of the bar staff was confronted with a very rude and disrespectful guest, they dealt with the situation calmly and with a great deal of professionalism which reflected the attitude of all the staff, helpful, pleasant and highly professional. At night there was limited entertainment, we didn’t hang around for it, but people seemed to enjoy it. Our room was immaculately clean and presented, its only downfall was it facing the full force of the storm, which made it very noisy at night, please note, this was an exceptional storm and I don’t think any hotel would have been able to reduce this, either way the lightning storms were some of the best I’ve ever seen! All in all I will rebook, again in January hoping next time the weather is a little kinder. Tips: there’s some nice bars a two minute walk from the reception side of the hotel, take time to explore them rather than simply going onto the beach. The Spanish bars/cafe’s in particular are worth going to, even if all you can ask for is beer, wine and the bill!

Stayed in a family room in what could only be described as a cell block, the corridors looked like something out of a prison, dark, long and totally unappealing. The room was split in two with a truckle bed in one room and a large double in the other. The bathroom was quite bare with a shower and no bath. Not good for a family 👎👎 There was hanging space and the shelving unit in the room had a fridge and a safe (to hire). There was a balcony with a table and chairs. On arrival we needed a maintenance man as the air-con was broken, the toilet wasn’t flushing properly and the water in the bathroom sink wasn’t running away. It wasn’t until we said that we wanted another room that they sent someone to fix the broken items, after 3 calls and a visit to reception. On-site the hotel boasts of few different pools which are lovely but you needed to be queueing at 7.30 in the morning to get a half chance of a bed with a parasol. (The pool area wasn't actually unlocked until 9am and it was a total free for all to get a space) so never bothered. There are 2 restaurants on site and neither of them managed to serve a decent meal. (We we’re half board, with a choice of breakfast and either lunch or dinner. Two small children never for the whole time we were there managed to eat a proper breakfast because there was not enough on offer for them to eat. The staff were run off their feet trying to clear tables so that people could actually have somewhere to sit and eat and the quality of the food was dreadful so we ate out every night apart from 1. We sat on the balcony one evening to have a glass of wine and the lights got switched off just after midnight brilliant a curfew on holiday 🤷♀️🤷♀️ Apparently they are on a timer to conserve energy and be green !! Shame they left the pool lights on each and every night. Also need to say what clever planning to put an arcade between the family rooms and the main complex. 👏👏 someone really thought that one through.
Would I go again NO - far too many rooms with far too few amenities to cater for anyone with any degree of comfort. I felt very sorry for the staff.

My wife and I took our 6month son here on our first family holiday.
We stayed half board in a standard room.
Food was excellent. Good variety of food for both breakfast and dinner we always found something to eat. Food was always hot and the restaurant was extremely clean.
Our room was spacious and cleaned daily. The hotel was able to provide a cot for my 6 month old who slept well in it. The bathroom was clean and looked quite modern. There was a fridge provided free of charge. There is a safe to rent but we didn’t use it. We brought a travel kettle to sterilise bottles / water for our baby as their wasn’t one provided (you can rent one from the hotel but it was cheaper to buy one for our length of stay). The balcony was a decent size and we had a few of the beach from our room.
The hotel has multiple pools and a large number of sun beds. The outdoor pools are not heated so we didn’t use them but there is a heated indoor pool that we were able to use, it is however quite small and deep for smaller children or non confident swimmers.
The hotel seems to have quite a lot available for children (Kids pool, arcade playground etc)
Multiple bars inside and out but only inside bars were open due to the time of year.
Good hotel location. Close to the airport and right beside the beach. We took the train to Malaga two days (train station approx 20mins walk). Loads of bars and restaurants near by if you need them. Nice walk long the beach front all the way into Benalmádena.
Hotel staff all very pleasant and helpful. Staff were great with our son.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would happily book to stay here again.
