Something keeps drawing me back to this funny little hotel. We were in room 26 again, which was fine as it's on the ground floor. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and the bed is comfortable. 2 minutes from the beach/ restaurants and shops and lovely friendly staff. English spoken by most. I will be back.

After one week staing, the room is like a sauna! Air condirioning is not working. They have repaired it every day, no help! Infernal! You can not sleep! Our sauna in Finland has the same temperature.!

We stayed for one night, we had booked a double room with an additional bed, when we arrived we had been upgraded to a suite. The room we had was big & kitsch but was great. The furniture on the big balcony was plastic & could do with changing but for the price paid I can’t really complain. We had a problem with our ac and the staff came and fixed it very quickly. The pool is lovely, we went in late afternoon and had it to ourselves. All staff were very friendly & attentive. If I ever go to Torremolinos again I would stay here, it’s close to the beach, basic but clean & reasonably priced and it has a car park.

It was pretty cheap for us, we were only staying one night so gave it a go. Yes it's basic, as one reviewer has written, but it doesn't pretend to be The Ritz. No lift, no WiFi , but the place was clean and tidy, March and the pool was clean and open (weather too cold to even contemplate it mind) and the room spotless. The location is ideal too, less than 100 metres to the seafront, even less to the strip of bars and restaurants. If you want luxury look elsewhere. For a basic, competent clean place this suits.

Stayed for four nights here in late October 2018; the hotel closes down in mid November and opens again in the following March. We had a room on the top floor, up two flights of stairs, no lift ,a struggle if you have heavy luggage.Room was basic but adequate. The bed was a double which we requested and was firm but comfortable for us.The room no,19 overlooked the pool ,which we didn’t use ,but the gardens are a nice touch,as is the free parking. We are interested in the history of the place ,the decor is traditionally Spanish, and has some nice wrought iron features and stained glass windows, also some nice oil paintings of the flamenco artist who once lived there. The WiFi seemed a bit patchy. We availed ourselves of the breakfast, an extra four euros each, basic but adequate continental style. There are many places to eat within 150 metres or so, Overall our impression was that the hotel could do with some updating, but that it is good value for money and we will use it again, but take our travel kettle with us.Staff were very helpful ,quickly replacing a faulty bathroom light, and calling a taxi on our departure.

We stayed here for 8 nights. Ground floor room(25) with a tiny balcony that just about seats 2 plastic chairs overlooking a very small garden area that never gets the sun. Room is very dark with poor lighting. Cannot even see your clothing in the wardrobe behind the door as it is in a darkened corner. Bathroom is bright and spacious, having a bath with a very powerful overhead shower. Also a bidet in bathroom and a power socket next to a large mirror. In the bedroom, there are two large windows and a door onto small balcony. All have exterior shades on them. Two power sockets in the room, one of which is used by the air conditioning unit. The small tv has no English speaking channels available. Hotel reception staff need a lesson in customer curtesy and spoken English is very poor for a hotel. Everything seems to be a problem for them, if you ask for anything. One night we were awakened at 0115hrs by a very flustered receptionist , asking us for the code to the extremely poor wi Fi . Breakfast is extremely poor to the point where we had once and did not bother again. Very good breakfasts within 50m to 100m walk. On your final day, you must checkout by 12 midday and there is no place to store luggage, only to leave in reception area and change later in small toilet in same area. No fridges or tea/coffee making facilities in rooms and badly missed. Any drinks or fruit that you have become warm very quickly in the room. Upon arrival, you have four or five steep steps up to reception, with no help available to help with baggage. To summarise, hotel is extremely basic, unfriendly and unhelpful. Would not either use again nor recommend. Plenty of accommodation available in this wonderful area.

We spent one night there in October and everything was fine. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The bathroom was okay as well, enough light and clean. This is a basic hotel but with picturesque architecture and style. Free parking. However, the walls are quite thin so that we heard our neighbours in the next room when they just talked (fortunately, they were quiet during the night, so this was not a problem. As no A/C was needed, I do not know how loud it is). Important to know: the hotel has no lift. A nice thing is that the hotel is 2 minutes walk from the Carihuela beach, with plenty of restaurants.

Nice, if a little dated hotel. Lovely customer service. Room was a nice size and clean as was the bathroom. Didn't make use of the pool as love the beach. If on a budget and not looking for anything special this place is for you.

woman at reception rolled her eyes when we spoke to her, didnt like that as we did speak in Spanish. we booked the lola suite, what a mistake, yes it was clean but had two 1960/70s chairs which are awful and tip up easily and a very low sofa bed thing with a horrible blanket type cover, no fridge , the main bedroom is not private as the only wall it has is honeycomb blocks. no sunbeds on the large terrace just a worn out old plastic table and chairs. was quite expensive and not worth the money. better off paying for normal rooms which are basic but very clean. 2nd bedroom is like a cupboard.

Arrived to be told that my reservation had been cancelled. I'd booked 13 months earlier through alpharoom . The man on reception didn't speak very good English but said that he will find me a room and not to worry,it will be the same price. He told me I'd have my own entrance at the side of the hotel and then took me through the hotel kitchen, above the laundry room and opened the door to my room. My view looked out onto the washing lines where the sheets were drying. There were 2 sockets, one of which didn't work. The only mirror was in the bathroom so when blow drying my hair, I had to go from the corner of the bedroom into the bathroom, fix my next section of hair to dry, back to the dryer, then back to the bathroom, fix next section of hair etc. The average number of back and forwarding I did each evening was approx 10. My own "entrance" was usually locked, so I was trapped in the back yard having to go through the kitchen each time I left or returned to my room. I usually like to go for a swim before breakfast, but noticed that the gate to the pool was padlocked, with a sign saying no open till 10am!! So no early morning swim for me. I arrived for breakfast the first morning, through the kitchen of course. Went into the courtyard....no a soul and no sign of breakfast. I went back to reception and asked the woman being the computer, breakfast??? She didn't speak, just pointed to the courtyard. So off I went into the courtyard, sat at a table and waited..... eventually the woman appeared with a tray. On it was my breakfast. It consisted of a baguette, croissant, butter, jam, a shot glass of fresh orange juice and a stainless steel JUG of coffee. I ate alone, again with not a soul around. This was repeated for the 7 days I was there. The hotel appears for people passing through or maybe staying for a couple of nights. As the pool was still locked up, and to be honest, I didn't fancy spending every day around a lifeless pool completely on my own, I had no choice but to go to the beach...what a gid send that was....LIFE, people and conversation all around me. I also noticed over the week that as I sat in the courtyard eating my breakfast, all the rooms overlooked the pool and courtyard. I also noticed that the hotel was no were near full and shutters on a lot of the rooms were down for the whole week. I am curious as to why I was put in a room over the laundry room in the back yard? I had booked April 17. The day of my departure arrived and I couldn't wait to leave. I ordered a taxi as soon as I was up, ( even missed the routine breakfat of baguette etc) arriving at the airport far to early for my flight, but at least it was bright, busy and full of life. P.s. will miss the pigeon that shared my croissant but nothing else.
