We have just stayed at the Sol House for a week and can honestly say it was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff (especially Ana in the dining room and Javier - aqua dance!) really made our stay memorable. My sons and I had a lovely suite on the 2nd floor with views over the beach/port. The food was always fresh, wide variety and plentiful - we enjoyed every meal full board. The access to the beach is so quick and easy and it’s a beautiful beach not too busy. We did buy the sun Beds on the days we went to beach as the sun was really hot and shade was needed. At 6e a day per bed this was expensive. It would be good to have some hotel rate/discount or even better free for Full board guests. We loved aqua dance - so much fun and Javier really gets the pool happy and joining in. The pool was fabulous. You need to bag a good spot quite early and one person waits on the towels but I can see this might be an issue for some families. Beds can be reserved from 10.45 am. 9.30 would be better to help secure beds before breakfast time. Our room was really clean, the sofa bed was comfy (unlike some reviews) and a good safe and fridge in rooms. Great supermarket (Evita) behind the hotel on the garden side - water, drinks etc can be bought for by the pool although a lovely selection of cocktails at the pool or playa bars. Playa bar singers in the evenings were very entertaining on the nights we went. Locality to the Port is about 5 mins, lovely bars and restaurants great atmosphere. It is a safe area with police on the streets and friendly staff in the bars we visited (Mombasa, O’Neils for a football match and Tropicana beach bar). I’d recommend this hotel to others wishing to visit Costa del Sol. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful holiday.

An absolutely fantastic hotel. Great to see towels of sunbed hoggers being taken away!! There’s direct access to the beach which is fantastic if you fancy a dip in the sea. The breakfast was the best I’ve seen anywhere with a fantastic display of all sorts of food freshly made.

We spent a week at Sol House in July and overall we had a nice time. The staff was nice and very friendly, especially in the reception and in the restaurant. Although, it seemed as if they were always understaffed and rushed. They all speak English and they liked when I tried to speak with my broken Spanish. We stayed in one of the suites with a view of the sea. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The suites have a 'separator wall' (basically a big sliding door) that could be closed for sleep time and for privacy. It was adequate for three people although I would not recommend sleeping on the sofabed as it was very uncomfortable. All inclusive was decent, we definitely made our monies worth. The highlight was the breakfast. It was one of the best all inclusive breakfasts I've had for sure. There were loads of options and everything very tasty. The lunch was ok, it wasn't anything special to be honest. The dinner was fairly nice with quite a good selection of food most days. It was a bit repetitive but there was always something different. Good seafood and fish selection every day too. There was some vegetarian option but honestly not enough for a vegetarian as it would have been the same food every day. Good drink selection too. We didn't use the pool much but when we did we didn't have any problems. During the day it gets really busy there and almost impossible to find free sunbeds. I think the smaller pool had saltwater in it which was nice if you don't like chlorine. It was a bit disappointing that the hotel didn't have its private beach area, but only because we had to pay for the sunbeds every day. If I remember it was €6/day/bed. There was also a €10 deposit for pool/beach towels but you get your money back if you return your towel. The beach was nice and clean. There's a really nice promenade all along the beach all the way in both directions which is really nice for an evening walk after dinner. You needed a keycard to exit the hotel grounds towards the beach and to come back. Good connection to Torremolinos and Malaga centre too by bus which cost around €7 and took 50 mins to Malaga centre. There was daily entertainment around the pool area and music in the beach bar in the evenings. Our room was luckily on the other side so we didn't hear any of that and at the same time I can't comment if it would have been bothersome if our room was facing the pool area. Taxi to the airport was around €25 and 20-25 mins. Overall it was a nice stay and I'd recommend it.

Dear AttilaL017, Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely description of your recent stay at Torremolinos and with us at Sol House Costa del Sol. It is a real pleasure to read you have enjoyed an amazing time with us, enjoying all the surroundings of the hotel, the great leasure option on the area and the facilities and services in the hotel, specially the customer service provided by the staff and the huge variety and quality of product during breakfast service. In addition, we have addressed your words about the repetitive of the food during luch and dinner to the department involved in order to take measures to keep improving this service and guest experience too. Regarding the sunbeds at the pool area and because of the lack of space that we count with, we apply a procedure to avoid the reservation of sunbeds and try to guarantee this service to all our guests. We will be looking forward to welcome you back in the near future and live another Sol House experience together. Best Regards, Kevin Aragonés Saavedra Guest Experience Manager

Very bad experience ! Unfriendly staff at the reception ! Too many rooms feeling like you are in a factory not a hotel ! Pools are hot and full of people! Service of a 2 stars rather than a 4 stars ! Not recommended. Plus many extras - beds at the beach , drinks even when all is inclusive , towels deposit etc.

Dear Customer, First of all, we would like to thank you on all our entire team behalf for having chosen Sol House Costa del Sol as destination for your holidays and for spending part of your time to share your impressions with the TripAdvisor users. We regret having not met with your expectations and having not be able to provide you the type of service that you have expected. Attending toy our words, we would like to comment that in spite of the size of the three buildings of our establishment, our rooms are bigger than other hotel rooms regarding the average square meters. On the other hand, we would also like to remark that Torremolinos is a very touristic destination of Spain, which receive the highest number of visitors during summer months (high season) and the mostly of them are families. That situation explain the high number of people that you found in the hotel and surroundings. We would also like to comment that in July and August Spain has the highest temperatures of the year, that explain that our pool water was hotter than in other months. Attending to the extras that you remark, we would kindly like to inform you that sunbeds at the beach have a cost in all the beach area, we are not the only one hotel that charge for it and it is the same price in all places. Premium drinks are also not included in the all inclusive but the guest has a 50% discount on it and finally, we do not charge for pool towels, it is only a deposit that we bring you back before leaving the hotel. If you decide to be back and give us a second chance, we will be more than delighted to solve all your doubts before your arrival for being sure that you will find what you are looking for your holidays, as there are other months when Sol House Costa del Sol maybe can provide you the service that you expect. Our best regards, Alejandro Andrade Andrade Guest Experience Coordinator

Check In -I think we had the grumpiest woman in the whole of Spain, I didn’t bring a credit card with me and they were near on turning us away because we couldn’t provide one as insurance if we damaged anything… they took a €100 deposit instead…deposit returned before I could even mention anything at checkout! Rooms - Plenty of space, the pictures on the website make the rooms look much nicer than they actually are, but they did the job seeing as we spent most of the day out of them. Swept daily, towels folded, not too sure if they were cleaned throughout our stay. I prefer a hard mattress so this was to my liking, lots of pillows too! Restaurants / Bars - We choose all inclusive, it was worth it for the drinks…even if you don’t drink any booze! I must have had about 100 bottles of water over the 5 days! The food is pretty basic, rather bland and very repetitive…the pizza was banging though! - You could have basic local drinks for free on all inclusive, if you wanted any brands you got them at a 50% discount…this included basic cocktails…so don’t expect to be drinking cocktails all of your holiday! Pools -€10 deposit for a towel - POOL WAS SO HOT - Sunbeds were all reserved by about 9/9:30, so no lays ins at this hotel. The lifeguards/security did monitor if the beds were unoccupied for a long time and removes the towels, but for a hotel with near on 1000 guests at any one time…the amount of beds/umbrellas needed to be doubled! - Music was only played around the pool when the activities were on! Entertainment - Live singers every other day we were there - they were great! - Aqua/Pool Dancing every day, thoroughly entertaining to watch! - Music was only played around the pool when the activities were on! - Kids inflatables / games in the pool everyday! The Beach - Accessible from the hotel, just down a couple flights of stairs and across the walk way, bring your flip flops, the sand is like literally molten lava past 10am! The Gym - It has one, bonus it has weights….I know this won’t be for everyone but a quick workout in the morning was a gooden for me! Despite the lack of aircon…it has a gym, let’s leave it there! If you’re looking for a peaceful holiday, this place isn’t for you! Apart from the grumpy check in lady, all other staff members were lovely, polite and super helpful. I’m not someone to return to hotels, I like to mix it up, so wouldn’t return here…think it would have to take something super special for me to do that!

Dear customer, First of all, we would like to thank you on all our entire team behalf of having chosen Sol House Costa del Sol to enjoy your holidays in Torremolinos and for spending part of your time to share your impressions through TripAdvisor. We are very glad for having met your expectations regarding some aspects as the amplitude of our rooms, the all inclusive board or the entertainment program. On the other hand, we would like to comment that Torremolinos is a very touristic destination in Spain and the space is so limited especially on the first coast line hotels. For this reason, our pool area has a limited capacity regarding sunbeds. Due to this situation, our team make a big effort to control and avoid the reservation as we believe that all customers have the same right to use them. We would really like to fill the area with more sunbeds, but it is complicated because there is no space and they would be too close. We wish this little inconvenience has not been a reason for not enjoying a pleasant stay with us. We regret that upon arrival you had to pay a deposit as you did not bring a credit or debit card. Sorry if at the time of the explanation there was any misunderstanding or you did not feel good with the explanations of our coworker, but we would like you to understand that it is a protocol that we must apply to all our guests. It will be a real pleasure to have a second chance and to welcome you back for showing you that all Sol House experiences are different and memorable. We will always have something super special waiting for your visit. Our best regards, Alejandro Andrade Andrade Guest Experience Coordinator

Myself and my boyfriend have just returned home from a weeks stay here. We both work in schools so knew we had to come during the holidays so expected it to be busy. I always do my research before booking so checked trip advisor and saw some negative reviews, but also positive ones- I’m glad we ignored the negative ones!! If you are looking for a quiet stay then yes I wouldn’t recommend but if you are happy to lounge by the pool and listen to the dj sessions or aqua aerobics then it’s great. I would suggest getting up early for a sun bed but this is like most hotels in summer. You cannot reserve a bed and walk off before 10.45am and I did see the lifeguard enforcing this policy which was good. We got up for breakfast around 8.15am and then stayed on our sunbeds from about 8.45am and there was still plenty to choose from at this time. Lots of people were opting to use the beach too during the day. We had all inclusive so left our beds to get lunch, but we weren’t over an hour so only had a ticket on some days telling us our towels would be removed after this time- this was fine as we were never over the time. There’s yoga, spinning, aqua aerobics and a pool inflatable session for kids during the day. There’s 2 pools then a tiny baby pool in the main area, plus a smaller pool down by the playbar- this gets busy during the afternoons as they have a dj or saxophonist, we also had a performance from two gymnasts which was fab! There’s also a roof terrace pool/adults only but you have to pay I think €20 to use this or free if you’re in a premium room? There was also security every single day, plus the lifeguard. I saw the manager also walking some lads off the premises who had walked in (whether that was through reception or someone let them in from the back gate as this is card access only) however you could see them being proactive. We also saw lots of maintenance people, for example painting areas of the hotel that guests weren’t using so it wasn’t affecting anyones stay and window cleaners etc maintaining the hotel. Room was clean, maids cleaned this everyday, also had a free safe. I would say it’s basic but didn’t need much as we were hardly in it! I requested a higher room and pool view if possible but knew we hadn’t paid for a pool view. They listened to my request and we got side view of the pool/sea which was brilliant. Never any noise at night, we slept very well. All inclusive was good, definitely made our monies worth. Fantastic choice at breakfast- no one could complain there wasn’t something for them! Even had a gluten free section. Lots of choice at lunch and dinner but my boyfriend is quite fussy so found the food repetitive, but if you eat loads of things then you’ll have plenty to choose from. Always had fresh salads, paella etc. Restaurant staff were always so attentive and accommodating. We did choose to eat out one night because we fancied Mexican, and the marina is literally a couple minutes walk from the hotel, you can walk out the back gate and onto the promenade so excellent location. If you go out the front of the hotel there’s some smaller, independent bars and restaurants and a brilliant supermarket down the road (can’t remember the name but it’s an orange and black logo). We did get a print out with all inclusive food times and what we were entitled to and there was an all inclusive drinks menu at the bars if you asked for it. We were however told we got ice cream included but when we asked they said it was 50% off as it was the branded selection but then were told by someone else it was full price? Entertainment was good, it was around the playbar every night and got quite busy. We usually watched this and then headed out to the marina. The only thing is that if you were all inclusive they seemed to ignore you for a drink and go to paying guests first. I do however want to give a massive shout out to Jose Manuel- he was fantastic. Always helpful, welcoming and attentive. He even saw us waiting in the lobby to leave for the airport and walked over with two waters for our journey. He is an asset to the team. There were also some other fab bar staff but cannot remember their names. You can see how hard they work. There were a couple days that we found it too busy around the pool but saying that we always got a sun bed and felt like we could still relax. This hotel is great for families as they always put things on for kids during the day. Also good for adults with the dj sessions and playbar liveliness and it’s in a great location. We heard the playbar food was amazing too however this wasn’t on all inclusive but think you get 50% off if you are. We got an Uber to/from the airport and it was €17 each way which isn’t bad. Also a luggage room to store luggage. Overall we had a lovely stay, yes it’s busy but that’s expected in peak summer and with Covid these places need tourism. Marina has some lovely restaurants and bars. Kaleido is a fab bar and has tasty cocktails. The hotels cocktails also looked really good (the mojitos etc weren’t on the all inclusive only a few options but we only tried one or two). We also walked to the left of the hotel up to torremolinos and you have Malaga nearby plus Marbella is about 45 mins. Staff were helpful, we had no issues. Don’t read all the bad reviews, I read some before coming and literally did not see any of what was said! We would stay here again.

This is a great hotel, and we really enjoyed our 7 night stay. In high season, the scramble for beds at the pool can get a bit much early morning. The hotel says no reservations but you have individual family or group members down by 0830 sitting on beds jealously guarding them for when the rest of the group turn up later. Not a big deal though. The room we stayed in included free beds on the beach directly outside the hotel and this was much more chilled with the ability to claim your beds and come and go as you pleases throughout the day. The beach is great. Breakfast buffet not bad at all and we also had lunch on a couple of occasions and it was upper end in terms of buffet quality. Benalmadena to the right as you head to the beach and Torremolinos to the left. Benalmadena is pretty tacky and low end. But Torremolinas and La Cariheula have a much more Spanish feel and there are excellent chiringuitas and restaurants. Why 4*?- hotel reception staff could be more proactive in telling you the benefits that come with superior rooms (sunbeds on the beach, access to the rooftop pool for adults, towel service and 20% off drinks) but I'm probably being picky. Good mix in the hotel with lots of Spanish families on holiday as well as those from UK and rest of Europe. I was sceptical about coming to Torremolinos after our previously booked holiday in Portugal fell apart but was great and hit the mark.

Stayed for 4 nights during November 2021 whilst looking at properties in the area. Hotel was in a great location, right next to the beach & the Marina. Although in November temps were at 22 degrees the hotel was fairly busy. In the morning lots of people were at breakfast on the terrace next to the pool. The room was on 6th floor & could see the sea if you leaned to left. A lot in area was closed and with restrictions and time of season to be expected. Loved the hotels outside areas and would liked to have spent more time in hotel.

Fab holiday again in Torremolinos and Sol House . I’ve previously stayed here and opted for the extra house suite with sea view and access to the roof top pool . The hotel was very busy . I had b&b the breakfast was excellent, very busy but excellent service and food . Only one happy hour this year 6-7pm in the main hotel bar which is still good . Excellent entertainment in the day , love the sax player and violin player and drummer . Very hot this time but I loved everyday. So many fab restaurants about with excellent food. Will return always.
