The positives Excellent location, with the beach directly opposite with an easy walk to plenty of bars and restaurants and the marina. Excellent access for disabilities. Plenty of selection for breakfast and seemed good food at the pool bar. There’s a rule that the sun beds cannot be reserved before 10.45 when breakfast is finished, which worked excellently. The hotel is lovely and clean. There’s also a small area to charge mobility scooters. There’s also an atm at the hotel. The negatives On arrival, no information as to direction to lifts, floors, restaurants and evening entertainment. The sun beds at the beach are excellent, however, if you are not a premium guest you have to pay 7 💶 a bed a day, unexplained at reception. The adult only pool is for premium guests only but can be used for a hefty daily fee, which is not explained on the website. The first few days at the pool, there seemed room between sun beds, but as time went on there were so many sun beds rammed together, it was difficult to walk in between. We were told we had to pay 1 💶 each time we changed the pool towel, however, some people seemed to change them without paying. No clarification on the rules which goes hand in hand with the lack of information at reception on arrival. On the whole the hotel is quite noisy and doesn’t seem to have any quiet areas poolside. We didn’t see any childrens entertainment.

Hotel's Favourite
Overall, it's a really good hotel for a family holiday. This hotel does a lot of things right. We would highly recommend this hotel for a family or couples who fancy a week in the son. Check-in This isn't a great experience as it takes too long. We waited about 20 minutes to get checked in. The issue is that they only have 3 computers, and the process takes too long. We did speak to one group where it took them 1 hour and 20 mintes to check in! For context, it only takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to fly here from Manchester! If you're travelling with Jet 2 or whoever, go for a private transfer or taxi to beat the queue. Food... We stayed B&B. Breakfast was good, but it isn’t high quality. Loads of choice, but the cooked options aren't visably appealing but taste good. I particularly enjoyed the omlettes. My advice would be to go at 8:30. It's a fair bit quieter and a much more pleasant experience. It's a big restaurant and it does get quite frantic when it's busy. The room. We stayed in 3807. It is one of the corner rooms with a huge bed. My wife and I felt like we were sleeping in a different postcode! Our boys stayed on a sofa bed in room of its own. Perfect for a family of 4. The bathroom isn't huge, but it does the job. There isnt loads of storage either, but it is sufficient. The safe is a good size, too. When we arrived, the fridge had some complimentary drinks, which was a nice touch. We then used the fridge for our own drinks. Who needs an expensive mini-bar? Room tip... if you go for a side sea view, go for a view of the hotel pool next door (to the left if you're looking at the sea). Otherwise, your room will be red hot to sleep in at night. The aircon is okay, and we slept well. It's not particularly powerful, but it did keep the room cool. This hotel has what I can only describe as having cleaing ninjas. Our room has been done before 10:30 every day. I'm not sure if that is because we are on the 8th floor, but it has been seriously impressive. The Pool The pool is a decent size. There aren't enough sunbeds for the size of the hotel, but I'm yet to go to a hotel that has. They do have a good system to deal with bed blocking. You can't reserve beds before 10:45. Any towels on an unattended bed will be taken. I have seen lots of occasions where the towels have been taken by the pool attendant. I find it hilarious when people get angry, but there are signs everywhere! After 10:45, a note is left. 2 strikes, and your towels are taken. Every hotel should have the same system! Pool Bar The pool bar serves some nice food. The menu has something for everyone. We thought the prices were reasonable for things like tacos, salad and club snadwiches. The club sandwich is pretty big, so they are quite happy to serve it on two plates so that you can share. When we arrived on the Thursday we arrived , there was an amazing saxophone player at 16:00 till 18:00 with quite a few brakes. The place was bouncing! He was really good. On the Friday, there was a guitar player with a violinist playing along with a backing track. They were probably the best act I have ever seen on a holiday! Really really good. The Saturday it went a bit downhill. A guy who played 3 drums and a symbol very loudly to backing tracks. Not for us. On Sunday there was a very good singer. Monday and Tuesday, it was just a DJ and the place was fairly quiet. Will there be something on a Wednesday? Who knows! Entertainment In the evenings, there were mainly singers. They were all pretty decent. On Tuesday there was an Elvis tribute duo who were really good! I am not an Elvis fan, but they played all the songs you know. Check them out! There are some classes by the pool. Pool Biking was very popular. So much so that they had to put on two classes. Pablo's class, in particular, was very good. Verdict The hotel itself is almost in Benalmadena. Benalmadena marina is a few minutes walk to some lovely restaurants. We can highly recommend the Cinnamon Club for an Indian meal. B&B was perfect for us. Would we come back? Definitely!

Fantastic hotel from the start of checking in to the finish. The staff on the desk were so helpful with great information and friendly. Great happy hour. The breakfast is perfect with so much on offer and food is hot. The egg chefs are so friendly and will do any egg you want fresh with a smile. So much on offer. Restaurants on your doorstep. I will be returning.

Couple of things let us down this stay, first of all breakfast was chaotic. Table of 5 tops to sit down where all tables are set for 4 and when tried to move seat got out head bitten off by Ava. Management team standing chatting when should be accommodating larger groups. Also, hardly no sun beds. For some reason have a lot less out in April than they do in July, so they have the beds somewhere! No entertainment / DJ on by the small outside pool. Drinks were a lot more expensive this time too.

Lovely hotel, busy for early April. Even in low season sunbeds were hard to get but good system of them removing towels that have seen no return for a while. Lots to choose on buffet although cooked breakfast was a bit cold. Not quite the high quality of other media hotels but lovely non the less. No robes in room which was disappointing but room was spacious and well worth the upgrade to sea view as the sunrise was gorgeous from the balcony. Friendly staff, lovely food at beach bar ..but pools could do with heating..only one small pool which was warm enough for the kids to swim in. Lovely stay, clean hotel

My second time here at this fabulous hotel and ill be back again. The breakfast is lovely every thing you could think of including cava, greeted by the lovely Charles and Noelia very friendly and couldn't do enough for you! Pools are lovely and the bar pool is lively in the afternoon ! The private pool on the roof is also amazing! When you walk out of the back of the hotel you are right on the promenade and the views are amazing. 15mins drive from malaga airport! Walking distance to the beautiful Belemedna marina with a massive selection of bars and restaurants. Great hotel great location!

Spent three weeks at the Ocean House, February and March this year. The location couldn't be better, right on the Paseo, close to restaurants, shops, the beautiful marina. A short bus ride to a variety of towns and tours to others such as Grenada. Rooms are large although not crazy about all the open storage. Upgraded our room after the first week and so glad we did. We were there as part of a group, breakfast and dinner were included, both buffets. Would not recommend the buffet, we managed for breakfast but ate at local restaurants each evening. Cleanliness is a real issue in the buffet with a lot of people getting sick, colds, flu and covid. It isn't always about wearing a mask, people seem to think it is ok to take food with their hands however the utensils provided were never cleaned so germs spread all too quickly. They are seriously understaffed in the buffet and on the floors, when cleaning staff are off others are expected to clean twice as many rooms, this wasn't always achievable.

Good location on beachfront and close to marina but aside from that will not book this hotel again. Uncomfortable hard beds, cold rooms lacking any luxury. Poor quality towels and bedding. No drawers in rooms and no wardrobe doors. All inclusive drinks poor. Food in restaurant not good and very repetitive. Entertainment very poor and expected more having stayed in Meliá hotels before and it being main Easter holidays.
