If you are expecting a hotel of the standard of its sister Hotel Ritual you may well be disappointed (but it does tend to be cheaper). It is well-positioned for the centre of town (though to use the facilities of Hotel Ritual is maybe a 15 min walk). Friendly staff, comfortable beds, good aircon/heating, well-cleaned rooms. My room lacked a fridge, and bizarrely no mini milk cartons to make tea or coffee and no bedside lights (you have a choice of being floodlight by the central ceiling fitting or the overly bright LED strip above the bed!) Problems I had – a shower that flooded out into the bedroom and a missing plug - were sorted by staff (but did involve a change of room). The rooftop pool was also out-of-action. Hotel Sireno could be rather a stylish boutique-style hotel - but a number of missing things that a visitor might reasonably expect and the rather slapdash décor made it rather a mixed experience.…
his hotel is at best 2 star, depending on which room you get. I rejected the first room they offered as it was dirty and in bad condition. The hotel rep chap could speak good English until I complained about the room....google translate got my views across very quickly as I pointed out the defects/condition of the room. They changed our room to a cleaner room - which had its own faults as the shower flooded first time it was used, and they had to get the maintenance guy into to fix the shower drain. The air con unit gave you a sore throat when used. Most of the staff were friendly and pleasant, and the location was good. Would i say here again....no chance.
Excellent location for central toremolinos. Very close to shops . Bars and restaurants. Hotel itself is a little bit shabby . Poor quality make over. OK if you like purple or pink walls and tiles . Overall could be a good hotel if the rooms were given a decent makeover. Hotel staff were brilliant. Very accomplished and helpful. Would I stay there again. The jury is out .
We live locally and stay here for Weekend getaways. Centrally located but quiet. Tapas bars, restaurants and shops a 2 minute walk. Rooms spotlessly clean with everything you need. 6th floor pool superb with terrace and restaurant. Excellent generously portioned dishes at good prices. ALL staff are extremey friendly, happy and helpful. We will certainly continue to stay here.
We really loved this hotel! Me and my husband stayed for two nights in August. We had previously stayed in the Ritual Hotel and for us the Ritual is slightly intimidating with all the muscled groomed hunks preening round the pool (fabulous to look at of course!) Anyway, the staff at the Sireno are what make it so lovely. Very helpful receptionist but the star of the show is the wonderful Rocio, she runs the kitchen and makes eggs any way you want! The pool on the terrace, although small is perfect to paddle around in with an Aperol Spritz and look across the Torremolinos rooftops. Breakfast was also delicious. My only comment about the rooms is the decoration has clearly been rushed (paint slapped everywhere!) and I wish there was a bit of art on the walls to make it a bit more homely.…
We never planned on going but was moved from the main Ritual hotel for a staff function. The hotel was a small boutique in style. However, the ritual style stamped on it was a little too out there, namely for me the room corridors just seems a tad to much. Well appointed rooms with balconies. Good size and comfortable beds. Roof top pool and bar was very nice with a small sunbed area. Nice for chilling out during the day. However, it came alive at night having its resultant up on the roof. The food was amazing and drinking watching the city was so nice. The hotel also has a TV lounge with a pool table for hotel guests to use. The hotel is in a nice shopping area. Everything you want is there. Next street over is the main square where you will find most of the restaurants, shops, railway station, bars and the steps that gently sweep down to the beach that are surrounded by the shops. Great place for a city base. …
As part of the Hotel Ritual group we decided to give this hotel a try as it’s ‘downtown’ in Torremolinos - it was the right decision because it is near everything shopping / cafe bars / restaurants & the social LGBT scene to - if required there’s a Taxi rank outside the door.
Very central location but wasn’t noisy with cars as it was a very quiet mostly pedestrian area. Checkin was efficient. Room was ok, nothing special and all the corridors and bathroom tiles etc have just been painted over with tile paint so it looks like a very cheap makeover. Rubbish shower that wouldn’t keep temperature. No fridge or hairdryer. Efficient aircon. Awful cheap toilet paper. Roof terrace is small but ok. We did try and have lunch there and ordered sirloin sandwich. What arrived turned out to be pork but it took some effort to get them to admit it was not beef!! The Ritual sister hotel is definitely worth the extra money and is available.
Stayed for 4 nights hotel has only been open a few weeks and still getting things in order. I had a problem with my room 409 the window didn't lock and was right beside a fire escape so that did worry me a bit however the guys sorted it next day by moving me to a better room. In a few months this will be a great hotel near tge bars and not so intimidating as the bigger Ritual hotels. The pool and tge view from the roof are brilliant. I would recommend
I stayed at another Ritual property 2 years ago for a week, Hotel Ritual Maspalomas. I was so impressed that I wanted to try their offerings in Torremolinos, so I will actually stay at both properties during my time here. The slick pictures you see on the web site home page probably do not exist in reality and are computer generated. The web site shows a renovated exterior, but it is only partially complete. The web site promises views of the Med from the rooftop, maybe if you squint in between the other buildings... Pretty sure none of the rooms come with great views of the Med. The pool area remains incomplete which the web site shows finished. There is no restaurant for dinner. Breakfast is OK, but not great. They wrap a paper wristband onto your arm which allows you to access at the sister property nearer the coast, Hotel Ritual, where you are granted privileges to use the 2 pools. What they don't tell you is that pool chaises at Ritual are available on a first come first served basis, which is fine, but they also don't tell you that they allow non-guests access to the pool area on certain days. I arrived at the pool on a Sunday at 12:30. No chairs to be had at either pool. Ritual is an easy 10+ minute walk away, As for my room: It was larger than I expected. The bed is comfy and I slept well. My room was on the backside of the hotel with a view of the fire escape. This helped with street/plaza noise. The property is well located and only a 5-6 minute walk by foot to the train station. No problem if you have wheeled luggage. There is a taxi rank right outside the hotel entrance if you need a cab to the airport. There are many restaurants in the area, but I would recommend advance bookings at the more highly rated venues for stays during the warm months of the year. Bottom line: I got the value I paid for and except for the misrepresentations/disappointments from the web site and my stay was pleasant. I was expecting more which would have made my review much more positive. But, you do get a fair value.…
