The pool was not advertised as being seasonal and it had closed, the day before I arrived. (Mid September!) Yet that was the main reason I booked the place! The weather was hot, in the upper seventies and the temperature went up into the eighties for a couple of days, yet the pool remained closed, even though there were families with children there,so they must have been disappointed. The other fact that wasn't indicated to me at time of booking, not even in the small print, was that they won't give you clean towels, unless you pay for them :( The food was mediocre at best, unpleasent at worst. Some of the staff were unfriendly and didn't smile when I politely acknowleged them with "Buenos dias/tardes/noches" etc and at times, the reception desk was left unattended, so you had to wait to collect your key and not nice when you're tired or unwell and need to access your room. I gave up and decide to take my key out with me everytime I went out, at the risk of losing it or my bag being stolen, as got fed up waiting at the desk for minutes at a time. On the plus side, their saving grace, was...the bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning. There is also a luggage storage room and free Wifi. It was only a few minutes walk from a lovely beach with lots of facilities. But no, I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone.…
I just came back from Malaga yesterday. I stayed at this hostel on my first night in Spain as I had a late arrival flight. I was a little anxious as being such a good price, I was expecting it to be a bit rough. How wrong was I.! The accommodation was spotlessly clean. I was given a room which sleeps four to myself. The receptionist didn't speak a word of English , but was so helpful. I slept very comfortably. There was no TV in the room, but it didn't matter as I was only staying overnight. But there was a swimming pool. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was quite basic, but still set you up for the day. It was near to the beach and near to the bus stops that took you to other destinations, such as Malaga, Fuengirola ( which was where I was headed for the remainder of my holiday). I would definitely stay there again if I was passing that way, and would make a very cheap holiday. Thank you.…
Single room, 18€/night B&B. Stayed 3 nights at the end of May, the hostel was almost empty this is why I was given a 3 beds dorm but payed just for one bed. Clean room with private bathroom, overlooking the swimming pool. Basic breakfast, enough for the price payed. Close to the beach and Puerto Marina. Staff: 2 out of 3, unfriendly, unprofessional (the hostel is council owned and so its run¡) Habit. ind. 18€/noche, AD. Infrautilizado.…
we really liked this hostel, so different from any hostel type, back packers. Rooms are clean and spacious and have standard 4 beds so ideal for families. You can get there by public transport Renfe train from Málaga, towards Fuengirola and then hop off at El pinillo stop. It is quite a walk from there, but hey after that you are 5 minutes from the beach. On our way back to the airport we took a taxi, which was only about 15 minutes. The kids loved the swimming too, which makes for a nice change sometimes compared to the beach. Simple, clean and new, we thought it was excellent value for money.
The place is awesome, litteraly 3 minutes away from the magnificient beach! There's a pool,A/C and internet, the rooms are great... Lots of groups go there since it's also a "music" hostel so groups can go there to practice and such... but don't wrry, you don't hear anything from inside your room :) The only problem I had was finding it!!! The adress is fine if you go by car (and they have an big parking lot), but I was backpacking, and as such I was taking either train, cercanias or bus... and I couldn't for the life of me find anything to tell me how to get there that way!!! I wrote them a message asking fir help, they sent me a website (written all in spanish) with nothing there to help me but a map (google) showing where the hostel is... So in the end I went and made a phone call to them for more info, and they just gave me the Cercanias stop saying it was a 5-10 mintues walk from there... I had the guess where the heck I would be droped off, but hey... I printed a map and found my way :D It was worth it though, the place is awesome!!!!!!…
